Our leadership will be meeting, Sunday, July 3rd, Our elders will be meeting at 2 p.m., our deacons will be
meeting at 3 p.m., and then they will meet collectively at 3:30 p.m. We are so thankful for all of the men who
serve this congregation so diligently in these important roles of leadership.
The Wallace visitation team will be meeting TONIGHT, Sunday, July 3rd, following our evening worship service in the fellowship hall. If you are not currently a part of one of our visitation teams, we
encourage you to get involved with one. You’ll be glad you did.
The teenagers that are registered to go to camp this year, will be leaving right after
AM worship TODAY, July 3rd! Please be packed and ready to go! We are looking
forward to this trip! Let’s keep all of our campers in our prayers this week as they
travel to Henderson, TN and that they are continually growing closer to God.
On Saturday, July 9th, there will be a workshop for everyone who is interested in
sharing the gospel of Christ. The workshop will begin at 9:30 a.m., break for
lunch, and then the teams will go door-knocking that afternoon to put into
practice what they have learned. If you are interested in going with us, whether
it be to sharer the gospel or be a silent partner, or maybe you’re just curious
what we are doing...we want you to be at this workshop.
On Sunday, July 10th following our evening worship service, the Greatest Thing planning
committee needs to meet with all the subcommittee heads in the teen room. This will be
our last opportunity to meet collectively before the campaign, so it is very important that
all be in attendance for this meeting. Thanks You.
On Sunday, July 31st, following our evening worship service we will be having
a Back to School Blast at the home of Craig & Cindy King. This fun-filled evening is for the entire congregation to celebrate with our children as they end
their summer break and prepare to begin a new school year.
Friday, August 5th, we will be hosting out
annual gospel singing. This is always a
wonderful night of singing praises to our
God and fellowship with one another. Mark
your calendars and make your plans on
being at this great event!

“...if there is anything worthy of praise,
let your mind dwell on these things”
We rejoiced this past Sunday, July 26th, as Shelby Allen was baptized
into Christ! Shelby is the oldest daughter of Justine Allen who obeyed
the gospel just a few months ago. It is so exciting to see a young family
who desires to serve the Lord! We know that Shelby’s mom and sisters
are so proud of her, as we all are. We rejoice with Shelby and let’s
continue to pray for her as she begins her journey with the Lord.
This year’s VBS has all the makings to be the best one ever! We have a stellar
line up of teachers and other volunteers who are standing on ready to take the children on a voyage through God’s word to help them understand who Jesus is. What
a tremendous opportunity to teach kids about Jesus! There will be singing, crafts,
refreshments, and outstanding Bible classes for the children.
To our children….there will be a special prize for the one who brings the most
visitors during the week! We know you will want that prize! So be inviting all your
friends to come with you to VBS, any and every day they can.
News and Needs
We are excited to let you know that the quartet from Faulkner University, CORNERSTONE,
will be performing for us following our worship service on Thursday, July 21st. They were with
us during our last campaign and did such an awesome job we were thrilled that we were able
to schedule them again this year. That is the same night that Dale Jenkins will be preaching
for us, so we know it’ll be a great night that you and our visitors won’t want to miss.
Every area of our work has come together so beautifully so far, but we do have one area we
need some help. Providing transportation for those who need it by driving our van during the morning for VBS
and/or at night for our worship services. If you could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Just see Doyle
McCarver and let him know. Thanks again!
