Spring Burn Preparations Underway
Yellowstone and Gardiner Districts
Big Timber, Livingston, and Gardiner, MT — Gallatin National Forest fire and fuels managers are carrying out plans to complete multiple
prescribed burns this spring dependent upon proper conditions. Three
prescribed burns are located in the
Main Boulder Drainage, south of Big
Timber, near the Main Boulder
Ranger Station and Clydehurst Christian Camp, ranging from 45 – 200
acres respectively.
Another burn is located on the
Gardiner Ranger District, approximately 13 miles north of Gardiner in
Cutler Meadows.
The burns in the Main Boulder
Drainage are part of the ongoing
hazardous fuel reduction project. Burning Cutler Meadows is part
of a project utilizing fire to restore
native plant communities to acquired
lands in the Gardiner Basin.
The month of March generally
marks the beginning of spring burning season. “The transition from
late winter into early spring historically offers us the greatest opportunity to utilize cooler evening temperatures and higher relative humidity to complete some of the Forest’s prescribed fire projects,” said
Ashley Sites, Gallatin National Forest East Zone fire Management Officer.

A Consult with Dr. Keel…
Exercising for health takes two distinct forms – an aerobic workout for heart benefit and weight lifting to improve muscle strength. Aerobic activity should include
150 minutes of medium level activity like brisk walking, 75 minutes of more intense
activity such as running or a mix of both. Spread the activities out over the week.
About two days each week do strengthening exercises of the major muscle groups
like legs, back, chest, shoulders and arms. Aerobic activity for heart health is the
best place to start… then slowly add in the muscle strengthening and increase the
amount of time spent doing these activities to boost the total health gain you get.
Chiropractic Today
Chiropractic has come a long way
since that day in 1895 when Daniel
Palmer manipulated Harvey Lillard’s
neck, and he regained his hearing.
That event was the dawn of the chiropractic profession, and many developments in its application and
efficacy have ensued since then.
They are specialists at correcting spinal subluxations, often the cause of
“dis-ease” patterns. However, to-
day’s chiropractors don’t just address
back pain, they consider the entire
body.
Chiropractors now address many
of these dis-ease patterns, which include a myriad of annoying symptoms related to the digestive, endocrine, or immune systems, and usually characterized by pain or fatigue.
Dis-ease is becoming more prevalent, and if not corrected, can de-
velop into more serious conditions.
Although drugs and surgery are
sometimes necessary, more and
more people want natural relief for
their health issues. Chiropractic is
the largest alternative, natural health
care profession that addresses disease, and utilizes the latest developments in wellness and subluxation
care.
