Wasser erleben
Our Story
For more than 100 years, Hansa has been doing amazing things
with water. We have an extraordinary understanding of it.
In all that time, our designers and engineers have never stopped
looking for ways to incrementally advance the science of taps to
make the ways liquid works more pleasing and more reliable.
We consider ourselves liquid scientists.
The next time you’re in one of our showrooms, pick up a Hansa
tap; feel the quality in each tap. That’s how much technology
and care goes into every piece of our tapware. Our designers
and scientists work together to forge precision fittings that are
timelessly beautiful and of the highest quality.
We are always thinking ahead. Our hydrovation programme

We pour 100 years of experience
into every Hansa product
Hansa founder Karl Göhring was a
man of vision. Decades before water
was seen as anything more than a
house-hold necessity, Karl recognised
that the key to harnessing water and
making it an experience that people
could enjoy every day, lay in an
absolute commitment to design and
quality, uncompromising craftsmanship
and the discipline and approach to
then bring those ideas to life. We still
work this way.

HANSAMURANO BASIN MIXER
Following his studies in Essen, Michael Lammel
became the Senior Designer and subsequently also
the partner of Mattheo Thun in Milan. Here, he met
Bertrand Illert, who, as a result of his studies in Vienna,
had joined the Milan studio belonging to his Professor.
In 1999, they founded the collaborative venture NOA
Design. For Hansa, they create an impressive range of
fittings including the new HANSAMIX (Busse Design
Award), HANSARONDA (Red Dot Design Award),
and HANSAECOJET.
Bruno Sacco is a legend in automobile design, working
with the great “Carrozzeris” Ghia and Pininfarina before
commencing work with Daimler-Benz in Sindelfingen
near Stuttgart in 1958. He became Daimler-Benz’s Head
Designer in 1975 and ultimately, in 1987, the Director of
the Design Department. Following his retirement in 1999
he rejected numerous offers from various car manufacturers,
deciding never to design automobiles again. Good for
Hansa because in 2001 the company was able to secure
him as a design consultant. This led to the design successes
HANSAMURANO (2003) and HANSACANYON (2005).
