Some Sundays during this Jubilee
Year of Mercy, something from the
scriptures just leaps out as most
appropriate. The end of today’s
Gospel presents one such instance.
At the end of the Good Samaritan
story, the answer to the question about who was neighbor to the
robbers’ victim is “The one who treated him with mercy.” As
we continue our prayer together today, let us ask for God’s grace
to help us to be merciful to all our neighbors.

Kinder thru High School. Spaces are limited, please
enroll your child soon. Classes start in September,

En algunos domingos durante este Año
Jubilar de la Misericordia saltan cosas de la
Escritura que resultan muy apropiadas. El
final del Evangelio de hoy es una de esas
instancias. Al final de la historia sobre el
Buen Samaritano, la respuesta acerca de
quién fue el prójimo de la víctima de los ladrones es: “El que tuvo
compasión de él,” o sea, el que mostró misericordia. Al continuar
nuestra oración conjunta de hoy, pidámosle a Dios que nos ayude con
Su gracia a ser misericordiosos para con todo nuestro prójimo.
FROM OUR PASTOR—ABCD 2016
Our goal for the ABCD 2016 is: $69,145.00 in
pledges. Up to now, we have collected in pledges
$61,836. We still need to collect $7,309.
Remember if we don’t make the goal at the end of
the year, St Bernard will be responsible for the
difference. We can make the goal. Thank you for
your support to our parish and to the Archbishop’s
call for the ABCD every year. May the Lord bless
you always!
