I hope you all are having an amazing summer! I just want to say how thankful I am that we have so many alumnae that are still active with our chapter and keep in touch with me as much as possible. It really makes my position so much more enjoyable! I cannot wait to get my second semester as VPAR underway! In this newsletter, I’m very excited to share with all of you the exciting events that have happened at the Sigma Kappa National Convention that was held in Las Vegas, Nevada! I’m also excited to share the plans for formal recruitment this fall! Please enjoy all the pictures from our sisters that traveled around the world for school and vacation! Also, don’t forget about the Greek Reunion coming up in September! If any of you have any ideas for events I can host for you all, please let me know! LISK, Sam Minard VPAR Take a Look Into Our Chapter National Convention For the 86th Sigma Kappa National Convention we had sisters Terra Soto and Lexie Finnegan represent our chapter, along with our advisors Jessica Richards and Paige Stevenson. Convention was held on June 18th – 21st in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, with the theme, “Our Time to Shine”. Terra and Lexie went to various workshops from Risk Management to Leadership Skills to “Motivating the Middle”. All these workshops will help bring new skills and valuable information back to help us become an even greater chapter, both by increasing SOE points and strengthening sister relations. Terra and Lexie got to meet some amazing sisters including National president Cheri Morrell De Jong, 2014 Miss America Nina Davuluri, and sisters from other chapters in Ohio. I am very happy to announce that we will be introducing a new Executive Board position, Vice President of Programming! They will be responsible for programming at informal chapter meetings, the chapter calendar, committees, and ritual supervision. Another large change is the removal of CPO and ABC for the chapters.
