Welcome
Dear Friend,
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Team Leader for the Atlanta Humane Society’s 2016
Walk for the Animals! We are expecting more than 4,000 participants and their four-legged
friends on October 16th at Atlantic Station to save and celebrate Georgia’s pets. With every dollar
you and your team raise, you are helping a homeless animal find a forever home.
As part of our largest fundraising event, the 2016 Walk for the Animals teams will be raising
critical funds to help the Atlanta Humane Society serve more than 25,000 animals each
year including:
Placing approximately 8,300 animals in new homes.
Performing more than 12,500 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries.
Evaluating more than 5,500 animals in our Veterinary Center.
Assisting law enforcement and other agencies in rescuing animals.
Providing behavior/obedience classes for 475 animals and their owners.
With our enclosed Team Leader Kit, getting your team started couldn’t be easier! You can start
by registering online, setting up a personal webpage, and inviting your friends, family and
co-workers to join the fun. We will be with you every step of the way as you build your team
and raise money.
On behalf of the animals, thank you again for your support of the Atlanta Humane Society.
We look forward to walking with you in October!
Sincerely,
Cal Morgan
