Head of BNP Paribas Personal Investors
More regulation is needed in finance, energy, raw materials
and environment to save globalization.
Banks will enforce in this decade Basel 3 regulations issued in December
2010. This will indirectly increase financialisation of the economy, with a
widening of stock and bond markets to fund economic and sustainable
growth in mature and emerged countries.
BNP Paribas Personal Investors will accompany this evolution with
highly professional advisors on financial markets, offering innovative
web and smartphone services.
New services will benefit direct investors and institutional partners,
especially BNP Paribas companies for the next two years.
Within BNP Paribas, Personal Investors will provide order routing
services to BNP Paribas Fortis clients in Belgium and to BGL BNP Paribas
clients in Luxembourg; the retail securities platform launched together
with BNP Paribas French Retail business line early 2011 will be proposed
to new partners; BNP Paribas Wealth Management clients will be
accompanied with valuable web and execution services, thanks to
Personal Investors know-how. Brokerage services will support Retail,
Investment Solutions and Corporate Investment Bank divisions in Europe
and in Asia. These projects will require important investments in online
information and technology.
Along with our Executive Committee, I have great confidence in the
commitment and creativity of our teams to make investors happier
and more long-term oriented, thanks to efficient services and expert
advice.
