Most importantly, multiple, significant expansion or new investment projects
have been announced, or initiated, this past year. These projects, as noted
elsewhere in this report, will result in hundreds of millions of dollars in new
investment in Licking County. Hundreds of new manufacturing, professional,
technical, and logistics jobs will be created, and hundreds of existing jobs of
similar type will be retained, within our community. We believe this is a
significant validation, by the market and our partners, of GROW Licking
County’s early efforts. Perhaps more importantly, it lays a solid foundation for
an even more proactive, collaborative, aggressive track of success – for our
organization, our community’s businesses, and our residents. It takes the efforts
of many people, and many organizations, to effectively pursue success. We are
most grateful to all involved, and all who will become involved, in this effort.

Our partnership, just over one year old, is yielding results. We are marketing
our community and its assets proactively and professionally, with new print
and electronic media. We are speaking with one voice, to clients and to our
regional partners. We are, as our tag line suggests, pursuing multiple ways to
“simplify success” for our current businesses and those considering making
Licking County “home.”

INVESTMENT & JOBS
There are many ways to measure
success. One clear indicator, of
course, is through projects.
Ultimately, it is the ability to help
leverage new investment that helps
to secure a strong local economy,
generate new job opportunities,
retain existing employment within
our county, and create the
opportunity for additional business
relationships for and among Licking
County businesses. This measure –
project announcements - suggests
GROW Licking County’s efforts are
making a difference, and laying the
groundwork for even more success
in the future.
We are proud that Ascena Retail
Group, Inc., Menlo Logistics, Inc.,
Owens Corning, Inc., RevLocal,
SpeedFC, Inc. - companies with
national and international presence
- are among the 8 new investment
projects that have been announced, or
initiated, in Licking County this past
year. These projects represent both
retention and expansion of existing
firms, as well as new company
investment.
These projects, upon completion,
will result in over $100 million
dollars in new investment in Licking
County. Over 900 new jobs will be
created, and over 600 existing
jobs will be retained, within our
community.
That’s a difference in which we’re proud
to play a part.
