1,000 LETTERS HOME
Michigan author Teresa K. Irish, who was born in Saginaw, Michigan, will be
here on April 21st, at 7pm, discussing her book, “A Thousand Letters Home.”
After her father’s death, Teresa found nearly 1,000 hand written letters
from WWII that her father had written to his family and girlfriend. The
letters give a firsthand account of the feelings of a young soldier through
his own words and eyes during war time. Don’t miss out on this heartfelt,
emotional presentation. Mark your calendars for this very special event!
Light refreshments will be served.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO...
THIS ONE IS FOR THE KIDS!
The West Branch
District
Library
would
like
to
express our gratitude to the community for
awarding us the West Branch Area
Chamber of Commerce’s Best Outstanding
Business Award in the “Excellence”
category. It is an honor to be recognized,
and the staff and board will continue to
strive to serve library patrons, visitors, and
friends with exceptional customer service
and high quality resources and programs.
Thank you, West Branch Area Chamber of
Commerce, for all you do in supporting and
recognizing the fantastic businesses and
organizations in our vibrant community, and
thank you, West Branch!
It is that time of year again! We are very
excited to be bringing back our popular
summer reading program. The focus of this
year’s programming will be very family
oriented. We will have fun games, snacks,
special events, movies, music and, of
course, the awesome picnic at the park!
Stay tuned for details on signup dates.
Arianna will be visiting the schools very
soon, and flyers will be sent home near the
end of the school year. Another
great summer is in the works at YOUR
library!
