The National Network
Cablenet operates a privately-own Hybrid Fiber Coaxial network, using the latest
DOCSIS 3.0 cable technology offering telephony and digital video service delivering
crystal-clear images and high-definition (HD) channels.
The backbone optical fiber network within Cyprus is fully redundant and interlinks
the four major cities in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos both at IP level as
well as SDH.
Multi-fiber metro rings are in operation in major civic centers in Cyprus, providing
redundancy. Cablenet operates multiple major Point of Presence in Cyprus, each
interconnected with a state-of-the-art multi-10G self-healing ring, taking resilience
and performance to a whole new level for Cypriot standards.
Furthermore, Cablenet has presence with resilient multi-homed connectivity in the
two major landing stations in Cyprus, as well as, key co-location facilities.

two different submarine Cable Systems. The network
capacity is terminated in key European locations,
such as London, Frankfurt, Marseilles and Athens,
where Cablenet operates Points of Presence (POPs).

providers from over 52 countries world-wide. This ensures the
lowest latency for Internet destinations, as traffic gets handed
over to the destination network directly therefore skipping
intermediaries.
