Archie is a Newfoundland therapy dog at Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families located in Camarillo, California. Casa Pacifica is a crisis‐care and residential treatment facility for abused, neglected, and at‐risk children and youth. Archie’s mission is to provide warm hugs, sloppy kisses, a listening ear, and to be a gentle presence when children are in need. And, as the ‘family dog,’ the children love to play catch, chase, swim, keep‐away, and tug‐of‐war with Archie.
