WORSHIP NEWS
NATIVITY PARISH HELPS
TO FEED OVER 450,000
5:00 PM MASS TO CHANGE ON
“FMSC was an amazing opportunity for me and all of the
high school students. The night we packed the meals together
was a lot of fun and effortless, God was definitely at
work that night.”
Gabby A. Nativity Parish Volunteer at the
2014 FMSC Green Bay Mobilepack
Saturday, May 9 to 7:00 PM
Due to the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation on
May 9, please note the change in the Mass time. Please join us for
this celebration.
NEW LIFE CHOIR (7TH - 12TH GRADES)
VIDEO PROJECTION SYSTEM MINISTRY
Last fall members of Nativity Parish,
including some of our youth joined nine
other area churches to take part in a Feed My Starving
Children Mobilepack. Prior to the packing event our
parishioners raised close to $7000, through M&M tube sales,
quarter collection and a generous donor match. As part of the
Green Bay faith community we helped pack 466,650 meals
and contributed to the $102,663 needed to cover the cost of
the food packed.
The Worship Commission is introducing a new
ministry. We are looking for individuals willing to
operate our new video projection system each Sunday.
Training is minimal, and operation of the system is
simple. Please contact Wayne Efferson, Director of Worship at
[email protected] or 490-1352 ext. 206.
Your generosity made an impact across the globe.
• 256,608 meals were shipped to Liberia which was in dire
need because of the Ebola outbreak,
• 15,552 meals were shipped to Haiti, and
• 194,400 meals were shipped to Nicaragua
The New Life Choir will lead us in song at Mass on:
May 9 (Confirmation - 7:00 PM)
If you wish to join the group, please contact:
Ms. Schroepfer at [email protected] or Wayne
Efferson, Director of Worship, [email protected]
or 490-1352 ext.206.
LITURGICAL MINISTERS
The Nativity Social Concerns Commission is excited to
provide this meaningful opportunity to our parishioners again
this year. We will kick off FMSC 2015 the weekend of May
16/17 with an M&M tube sale, followed by ongoing
quarter collection to support the Green Bay Area
Mobilepack which will be held October 5-9, 2015.
The Spring/Summer 2015 Schedule (June--August) is currently
being created so if you have any scheduling changes e.g. off for
the summer, please fill out a Scheduling Information form and
submit it to Wayne Efferson, Director of Worship by May 4.
(490-1352, ext. 206) or email [email protected].
Our leadership team would welcome your help, and promises
to feed your soul. Interested? Contact Beth Clabots at
[email protected] or 592-0290.
CROWNING OF MARY
Wednesday, May 6 - 8:00 AM
The springtime month of May is popularly devoted to Mary.
Traditionally the crowning of Mary takes place in early May.
With the help of the students of St. Joseph School this will take
place during the Introductory Rites (Procession) at the 8:00 AM
Mass. If you wish to be part of the procession, please gather at
the rear of Church and take a flower; we will process to the
Marion statue during the Entrance Song.
Please keep the families of
Verna Anderson,
David Ihlow &
Richard Sieg
in your prayers.
EASTER LILY BULBS
The bulbs will be ready soon for those who wish to take some
home and plant them. Please contact Wayne Efferson
(490-1352, ext. 206) or email [email protected].
NATIVITY PRAYS FOR VOCATIONS
God, our Father, you made each of us to use our
gifts for the Body of Christ. We ask that You
inspire those whom Your Spirit is calling to
Priesthood and Consecrated Life to
courageously accept Your call!
Send workers into your great harvest so that the
Gospel is preached, the poor are served with
love, the suffering comforted and your people are strengthened
by your grace giving Sacraments.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
A FUTURE UNKNOWN
Times past lead us toward a future unknown. By our baptism and
confirmation into the risen Jesus, our future is with the Good
Shepherd. We are God’s children. We know this, but we do not
know exactly what it means. “Now we see only in a foggy mirror.”
We do know that “we shall be like him because we shall see him as
he really is.” We do know that only in Christ Jesus can we be
saved. We know he sends the Holy Spirit to give us his grace.
Maranatha! Come, Lord; come quickly!

STEWARDSHIP CORNER
WITH POPE FRANCIS
Today’s economic mechanisms promote inordinate
consumption, yet it is evident that unbridled
consumerism combined with inequality proves doubly
damaging to the social fabric.
(Pope Francis: The Joy of the Gospel #60)
Am I aware of how my consumption helps or harms
others? How might I become a better steward by making
choices that reflect the Gospel?
Do you hear God calling you to help?
