What area of Keller ISD do you live in? How long have you lived in your current neighborhood? I currently live in Hidden lakes, directly behind the elementary school in the Woodlands. I have lived in my neighborhood for 9 years. 2. What do you Jove about your neighborhood? What's your favorite neighborhood hangout? There are so many things I love about Hidden Lakes; however, my favorite thing is the fact that is it such a diverse neighborhood. In the Woodlands we have newly married couples, toddlers, elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, and couples whose children are in college. What I love about this is that since most people on my street have lived here for 5 or more years I have had the opportunity to babysit many of these families and watch their children grow up and become individuals. It amazes me how fast they grow up when I go on walks in my neighborhood and the boys are playing football instead of four years ago when they played cops and robbers. My favorite neighborhood hangout is the volleyball nets, it's a great place where all of my friends can meet up and is close to our homes. 3. What extra-curricular activities do you participate in and why? Be specific on your involvement and what specifically you do and what you like about it. At my school I try to be as involved as possible to truly make a difference. I am currently the president of Interact, which is a club affiliated with rotary. I love Interact because I am able to volunteer throughout the community with student who truly want to make a difference. I am aIso Correspond ing Secretary of Student Council. I have devoted most of my high school ca ree r to student council and would do it all over again. I have met so many amazing people, changed lives, and become a much stronger leader through Student Council. I am in charge of Green cord ( A community service progra m).1 am also a pa rt of the Yearbook staff, a mem ber of HOSA (health occupation association of students), SOS ( support our soldiers). NHS (National Honor Society), Academic decathlon, and outside of school I am the head advisory board member of a national organization called Teens in the Driver's seat. 4. Be specific about any awards or honors you may have won. I received the Gold Award, The outstanding community service award two years in a row, outstanding leadership award. I have also been award two years in a rowan outstanding leader award from the secretary of state for my work with Teens In the Driver's Seat. 5. Tell us something interesting about yourself that people wouldn't necessarily know about you right off the bat? Through my years of dedication and success in the largest student leadership organization in the world, I have become confident and articulate in my demeanor, however, as you will hopefully realize, I am surprisingly casual by nature ... 1believe in doing what you love and you will learn that when I become passionate in my work, I will not let anything including formalities, get in the way of making my work successful and enjoyable as possible. However I also ask that you do not mistake my confidence for arrogance, as you will also find that I am a firm believer in servant leadership and will be selflessly put others before myself in order to ensure that we work together as a team. 6. Who do you consider a role model and why? Who do you admire and why? My role model is my dad, although it may seem cliche he is truly the one I look up to in life. Throughout every hardship' have faced in my life and through the death of my mom my dad has been my support system who I can always rely on. He has always pushed me to do the best I can and not settle for okay but to strive for greatness. Everything I have accomplished in life is because of his encouragement and constant faith in me. I admire my aunt because she was an extremely dedicated student in high school and was then accepted in Stanford in Harvard. She then became a world renown doctor and at the same time managed a family. This is my dream in life to live an extremely successful life such as she has. Even though she is so successful she still finds time to go on missions to third world nations to perform free health care. I admire her so much and respect her for everything she has done. 7. I would love to travel to Africa to see the cultural difference and lend a helping hand in any and every way possible. 8. What if your favorite subject at school? Why?
