Annexure – I (To Appendix – VI) Site Information Memorandum 1. KOTKAPURA 1.1. SITE APPRECIATION: PROPOSED SILO AT KOTAKAPURA, PUNJAB 1.1.1. Location Appreciation FCI Godown Kotkapura is present on the west-side of the Faridkot City. This facility is procuring complex for FCI operations. FCI Godown Kotkapura is enveloped around by a large dense area of residential and mix type land use. 1.1.2. Connectivity Status The direct access to the FCI facility is through connector road coming from National Highway-15 (Kotkapura Jaitu Road). The site is located adjacent to the highway. The nearest railway station is Kotkapura which is approximately 1.3 km in north-east side and Sandhwan railway station at 2.4 km on the other direction of the facility. SAHNEWAL 2.1. SITE APPRECIATION: PROPOSED SILO AT SAHNEWAL, PUNJAB 2.1.1. Location Appreciation FCI Godown Sahnewal is located in the South-East side of Ludhiana City. This facility is a procuring complex for FCI operations. Sahnewal Airport is present at North-West side of the FCI Godown. Sahnewal railway station is also present on the North-West side while all other sides are residential and mix type land use. An under-construction flyover is present on the west side, in front of Main Entrance of the facility obstructing the major movement of trucks from the main entrance of the facility. 2.1.2. Connectivity Status The direct access to the FCI facility is through ODR level road connecting Kohara Area to Sahnewal Area. Other connecting road is also the ODR level road connecting the facility to NH-1 (Grand Trunk Road) on North-west side of facility. Distance from NH-1 to facility is about 5 km. The nearest railway station is Sahnewal and is located approximately 500 m towards the west side and Dhandari railway station at 6 km towards the eastern side of the facility. CHANGSARI 3.1. SITE APPRECIATION: PROPOSED SILO AT CHANGSARI, ASSAM 3.1.1. Location Appreciation FCI Godown Changsari is located on the north-East direction of Guwahati City at a distance of approximately 25 km. This facility is consuming complex for FCI operations. This FCI Facility is enveloped with agricultural and village Land use from every side. 3.1.2. Connectivity Status The direct access to this FCI facility is through National Highway and Railway siding (under construction). The FCI land is located just beside National Highway 31 (Jharkhand to Guwahati). Approach road is about 0.350 km from NH-31. The nearest railway station is Changsari Railway station at a distance of approximately 1.5 km from the railway siding (under Construction). NARELA 4.1. SITE APPRECIATION: PROPOSED SILO AT NARELA, DELHI 4.1.1. Location Appreciation FSD Narela proposed as one of the locations for development of silos is located on the North – West side of Delhi region. This facility is consuming complex for FCI operations. The facility is surrounded by DSIDC Industrial area from the South-East side, Narela residential area from the North-East side, other residential area from North and North-West side and agriculture land on the west side. 4.1.2. Connectivity Status FSD Narela is well connected by rail and road. The nearest railway station is Narela railway station present approximately 0.6 km from the facility to the north and Halambi Railway station at 3.6 km to the south. The nearest major highway is National Highway -1 (Grand Truck road) which is 5 km away from the facility connecting Narela FSD through arterial road i.e Alipur road and Narela – Bawana Road. WHITEFEILD 5.1.1. Location Appreciation FCI Godown Whitefield is located on the Eastern side of Bangalore City at a distance of approximately 20 km. This facility is consuming complex for FCI operations. This FCI Facility is enveloped with Residential Land use from North, West and South side while eastern area is green vacant land. 5.1.2. Connectivity Status The facility is well connected with arterial roads from the west along the boundary side of the facility and at south side (Channasadra main road) which is adjacent to the facility and also providing access to the facility. Towards the north side the facility is well connected with Whitefield Railway Station which being 1 km away. KATIHAR 6.1. SITE APPRECIATION: PROPOSED SILO AT KATIHAR, BIHAR 6.1.1. Location Appreciation The estimated availability of land is approximately 49 Acres, Bounded by boundary wall and has a proper approach from a MDR. The land is almost rectangular with clear boundary length of 600 mts (approx.) towards the Railway Track in the west and 580 Mts towards the MDR in the east side. The North boundary is approximately 340 mts and the South Boundary is 195 mts. The site is generally undulating with stretches of flat level ground and land development shall include cutting and filling within the boundary only. 6.1.2. Connectivity Status Railway The site is a Greenfield site with no Railway Head within the boundary. However, there is a scope of bringing in a railway line from from the Katihar – Manihari Railway Track. The HFL of the area as given by Railways is 30.725 m and the railway track runs at a RL of 32.370 m. Road The site connected by a 158 m long and 26 m wide approach from the MDR that connects to Manihari-Katihar road towards South and NH – 81 towards North, approximate travel distance is 1.00 Km and 1.5 Km respective. The MDR is a double lane road in good condition and is approximately 8.5 mts wide. All mentioned roads connecting to the MDR is in good condition and are atleast double lane roads. The travel distance from Manihari More, Katihar City to Project Site is approximately 11 KM and from the existing railway siding is 7 Km.
