Program Overview The curriculum of this Academic Pathway Program uses some of the best published materials, and was developed by EAP experts from world class universities. Extensive research, planning and curriculum development has gone into creating this comprehensive and modern academic English program. This program prepares students for North American post-secondary education and teaches advanced oral and written English skills. Students learn academic research and presentation skills, to write extended university essays, strategies for teamwork in group projects, critical thinking, time management, study and note taking skills, exam techniques, and IELTS preparation and practice. Contact us for the latest list of pathway partners or visit http://tamwood.com/tam_university_partners.asp Tamwood has two types of agreements with University and College partners: • University/College accepts Tamwood’s EAP 1 or EAP 2 graduates (NO IELTS or TOEFL requirement) AND issues Conditional Acceptance Letters for Tamwood students. • University/College issues Conditional Acceptance letters before EAP 1/EAP 2 students have the required TOEFL or IELTS. This gives Tamwood students the advantage of knowing they have a space reserved in their chosen program. Students must submit IELTS or TOEFL score to gain admission to their chosen academic program. *Agreements vary depending on the partner school. She did a first degree in European Law, in the UK and France and progressed up to the PhD in Linguistics from University of London. She taught Linguistics to undergraduates and postgraduates as well as ESL programs. Angela is TESL Canada certified to the highest level, and has taught at university level and in language schools in Canada specializing in EAP, IELTS preparation, materials writing and teacher training. She has presented at professional conferences and mentored on teacher training courses. She has also worked as an ESL IT Coordinator, so can give students tips and advice about online resources to help them in all aspects of their studies.
