The EMBL Hamburg 40th Anniversary celebrations offer an excellent marketing and networking opportunity,
attracting a dynamic and successful community of international life scientists and research administrators.
Several outstanding life scientists with close ties to the institute will present a series of inspiring talks on the
past, present and future of the institute and its structural biology platforms. Over 150 current and former
staff from EMBL and many leading scientists within our user community will be attending.
This memorable anniversary event is scheduled to take place from Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 November 2014, and will offer stimulating science talks, visits to the most advanced synchrotron and X-ray free
electron laser facilities operating and under construction on the site of the Deutsches Electronen-Synchrotron in Hamburg , a spectacular welcome dinner and evening celebration and a prestigious reception at
Hamburg Town Hall.
The participants will include EMBL staff from across Europe and beamline users as well as alumni worldwide.

2. 3. 19% VAT is applicable to the above prices for sponsoring companies from Germany. All other EU countries are required to provide their VAT number. Non-EU countries are exempt from VAT. All monies are payable in Euro.
Sponsorship will be allocated only on receipt of a signed booking form. A letter of confirmation will be provided by EMBL to confirm the booking.
Applications will be processed in order of receipt.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation requests must be made in writing. If cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the event,
the cancellation fee is 100% of the sponsorship sum. If cancellation occurs between 4 months and 6 weeks prior to the start of the event, the
cancellation fee is 50% of the sponsorship sum. If cancellation occurs more than 4 months prior to the start of the event, a cancellation fee of
€ 75 will be charged.
