The EMBL 40th Anniversary Reunion is an exceptional marketing and networking opportunity, attracting a
dynamic and successful community of international life scientists and research administrators.
31 outstanding current and former EMBL life scientists will present thought-provoking talks on scientific
fields in which EMBL has led and continues to lead today. Over 800 current and former staff from EMBL
- including over 400 PIs - will be attending.
This unique and memorable two-day event is scheduled to take place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 July
2014, and will offer stimulating science talks, prestigious award ceremonies, excellent opportunities for lab
reunions and tours and a spectacular evening celebration. The participants will come from all EMBL sites in
Germany, the UK, France and Italy together with alumni worldwide.
For all sponsors of this event, your logo will appear:
• On a banner in the central meeting area in the EMBL ATC foyer;
• On the sponsor acknowledgement board on the ATC helix.

Advertisement in the Magazine “40 Years EMBL” (limited to 10 sponsors)

The magazine “40 Years EMBL” is put together by the EMBL Community for the EMBL Community. It will
contain the event programme, interviews, features and photographs relevant to EMBL‘s 40 year history. The
magazine will be distributed at the two day event, and will be sent to 4,000 alumni worldwide thereafter.
10 advertising spots will be made available to sponsors wishing to include their birthday message to EMBL.
Coffee Break (limited to 5 sponsors)

Coffee islands will be located around the central meeting area for the four
coffee breaks, two lunch breaks and generally throughout the sessions.
As coffee break sponsors you will receive:
• Your logo elegantly displayed on the coffee islands;
• Acknowledgement as a coffee break sponsor in the programme;
• Opportunity to provide company branded napkins or cookies;
• 2 invitations to the event.
Lunch (limited to 3 sponsors)

Lunch will be available in the central meeting area and EMBL canteen on
both days of the event.

2. 3. 19% VAT is applicable to the above prices for sponsoring companies from Germany. All other EU countries are required to provide their VAT number. Non-EU countries are exempt from VAT. All monies are payable in Euro.
Sponsorship will be allocated only on receipt of a signed booking form. A letter of confirmation will be provided by EMBL to confirm the booking.
Applications will be processed in order of receipt.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation requests must be made in writing. If cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the event,
the cancellation fee is 100% of the sponsorship sum. If cancellation occurs between 4 months and 6 weeks prior to the start of the event, the
cancellation fee is 50% of the sponsorship sum. If cancellation occurs more than 4 months prior to the start of the event, a cancellation fee of € 75
will be charged.
