What a kickball Saturday! We had sun, rain,
mud, falling, sliding, screaming (THE
SCREAMING!) and fun, just lots of fun. Thanks
for making a great season happen with your
participation and patronage to the Barking Dog
who really appreciates your attendance.
We’ve got a few more weeks to crown our
HHSB champion, and then we’re right back to
Kickball. The Sunday version. The Morning
version. The Fall version. The BEST version.
So we’re really hoping you and your friends hit
us up and come on back.
We are open for Fall Registration as we speak,
Sunday is calling, cooler temps, day drinking
and a briskness that invigorates in the soul in a
way that only Sunday kickball can. Sign up here

The evening kicks off at 7:00 PM and we need to crown
a king and queen for the season! So come out, vote,
drink and have fun!
Saturday, November 12 – HHKB Playoff Day
Games start at 10 AM and run until we have a season
champion. Seeds mean nothing! Everything you’ve
worked for comes down to this day…THIS DAY! Can
Chip’s team be dethroned? We’ll see!!!
Saturday, November 12 – Kick Ass End of the Season
Party
We’ve crowned a champion, we’ve gotten sun burnt
and we need to fiesta! There will be free booze (of all
kinds) free food and some free fun! See people get
certs and trophies and go out in style!
Wednesday, January 11 – Happy Hour Cornhole
Season 4 begins!
Registration will open in November, be ready!
Weather Delays/Cancellations
In the case of bad weather, the website will be updated
by 5:30 pm, the day of the game as will the Twitter

The Real Winners

Who wasn't wasted on Saturday?? I know I was and I
know Pickles thought that playing endless rounds of 711-doubles and beer pong was the way to end the
season right!! Thank you Pickles for a wonderful
season and a BIG BIG thanks to CB, Albers and Marty
for taking care of all of us every week!! Pickles came
home with a beautiful 2016 Team Flip Cup trophy and
Matt came home with his 2016 Flip Cup Survivor
trophy. All in all I think Pickles were
the real WINNERS!!!
Booty and the Beast
I want to thank our playoff competition. Kickballers, Juice is
on Fire, and ShaDynasty of A-A-Ron ... all of you played with
great passion, heart, and challenged us from start to finish.
What a great finals. There were no losers. Only winners.
To All My Teammates - a big thanks for putting up with me
and all my emails, instructions, texts, and directions. You are
great friends, teammates, and Champions. Your athletic
ability, reliability, and dedication truly demonstrates the
heart of a Champion!
The Field - Our Sixth consecutive finals. Our THIRD
consecutive summer finals. Our FIRST back to back titles. In
four summer finals we have given up 4 runs in 24 innings. In
23 innings we have scored ZERO runs until the last inning this
summer when we scored 2. We had lost three summer finals
1-0.
We finished the season 15-0. The first ever undefeated
season in league history. We allowed 14 runs in 15 games.
The first ever Title in league history with ONLY 8 fielders.
Sure it is possible with Fucking Brian, The German, and
Wildboy manning the outfield.
The Bar - Our SECOND consecutive Second Place showing at
Flip Cup. And a second place in Survivor for Fucking Brian.
The first ever all Booty Survivor finals. And three different
Booty teammates took survivor this summer The Rookie,
Fucking Brian, and JBRAD. Perhaps a greater achievement
than a title.

have Wednesday nights to play kickball and go out
afterwards. You were eligible to play but this season we
didn't need you. Thanks for being on stand-by.

-Ginger " Ginjurey" Holden - Just a playoff player. Raise the
stakes up a notch and you show up. Late .. of course.
Without you there is no summer Championship. Thank you.
-Jasmine "Germany" Hasner - You were there in the
beginning and a big part of this team. WE will miss you. You
always have a spot when you come back.
The BOYS
-Charlie "Sheen" Lamari - HUGE kicks on game day. Would
only play if we won. We did! Back to back to back titles?
Means you gotta play in the fall. Best recruiter.
-Claudia Von "Fibula"
Nordheim - Played hurt, played buzzed, and played solid
all season. Your kicks and your speed were impressive.
Next season you play all the time in the field. Who knew
you could catch everything kicked your way?
-Jessica "JBRAD" Bradbury - you were the most
consistent lady all season. Big catches, lots of shots, and
great karaoke. We missed you in the playoffs. Fall will be
your season.
-Allie "Red" Teunis - Two seasons ... two Championships.
See the pattern? You contributed on the field with
perfectly placed line drives. And, of course, your bar
participation was top notch. Let’s keep it going in the fall.
Sierra "Eazzy" Breese - Great with your hands. Brimming
with confidence. We just need to see more of you.
-Felice "Navidad" Herdman - Your hands are AMAZING.
Oh the things you can do with them. You are
irreplaceable. How about a fall season together?
- Katie" Spicy" Leptner - Rock solid defense. A little extra
speed and several bar appearances. You are back! How
-Brian "Fucking Brian" Swim - No longer the new kid on the
block. You represented well. Big attitude, big kicks, and
catches with flair. Almost a Survivor Season Championship.
Ready to do it again in the fall? Easier to wake up hungover
as a Champ.
-Julio "Wildboy" Benitez - What a pick up. Soft hands, big
kicks, and top rated bar performances. All around MVP. And
did I mention the ladies love him?
-Mike "The Rookie" Bell - The rookie wins Survivor. The
Rookie wins the summer kickball title. Bottom of the 6th,
two outs, two on...and what is referred to in Booty Lore as
"The Kick". Winner. We need you for a true three peat.
-Stephen "PUTO" Porter - Big kicks. Cute scooter. And
another title. Big player playing big in big games.
-Lou "Sweet Lou" Kolodner - dedicated on the field and at
the bar. Huge kicks, great catches, big cheering section.
Interested in a Fall title?
-Jeremy "Shrek" Kincaid - One game. Will we see MVP
numbers in the fall season?
-Jeremy "Hammer" Patten - You made 2 games but your
attendance was crucial. One day, two games, two wins. All
he does is win titles.
-Nick "Turbo" Grubb - MIA. Someone has your pretty shirt.
The Rookie. I think you were at the bar once. How about the
fall season? I promise to take you golfing.

Well, how about them Grasskickers!!! What an
amazing season that Grasskickers: Dawn of Justice
edition had this Summer. We had a goal and we surely
met it. We manage to get 3 wins this season and even
got a Playoff win over the Hobos to add the cherry on
top. It wasn’t easy, and took some time for us to really
gel together and figure out our spots but we did it. A
lot of the credit goes to my partner in crime, Allison
Fellner who willingly organized our team on every
aspect of the kickball season. She literally is the best
co-captain a captain could have. Major congratulations
to our MVP’s Josh R. and Mandy A. who deserved every
bit of the award. We managed to get a group of
wonderful people and go from the team known for
being the team you play against to get the easy win to
being a team that is playing with a new vigor and can
do some damage. If we lost a game it was always by
a small margin. We are already looking forward to the
next season and are now giving the league a warning
that a beast has been awoken and we are hungry for
more. Kick Grass!!!

and the Beast
So close…

For those that did not witness the championship game vs.
Booty, you missed a classic. It was probably the most
exciting game I've been a part of if you take away the
outcome. Congrats Booty, and congrats to the refs for not
throwing me out. Onto the game recaps...
Before I get started on the playoff games, I would be remiss
if I didn't talk about a play from 2 weeks ago that I forgot to
put in the Morning After. It was the game vs Hump
Day. After Jessica (some know her as Potter) was roughly
tagged out at first, she got her redemption the next
inning. Dickson kicked a liner to right field, as Potter got
under it to make a great catch, she let out a mighty roar
that made Dickson's kick grunt sound like a kitten's
meow. Sorry, I forgot this Potter.
Game 1: After what I would call an upset, the Grasskickers
beat the Hobos in the first round, and their reward was
that they got to play us. They even had a lead about
halfway through the game. Then, we started acting like
ourselves, and put up a lot more runs to win, 8-4ish. They
had some dude on their team that kicked the shit outta the
ball, I didn't like it at the time, but respect it. Don't really
remember any other details of this game.
Game 2: The game vs Fun Bunch (they didn't seem to have
much fun though). This game started with some fireworks
with a great throw in by Brandon to get a tag out at 3rd
base in the top of the first. This was followed by a pumped
up yell from me. This may have irked the other team, ok it
did irk the other team.

But hey, NBA players yell when they dunk, and no
one seems to bat an eye. Just good old fashioned
competitive spirit. So, I had to lead off the game for
my team in the bottom, thinking I better not get out
because I gotta back up my trash talk. Can you guess
what happened? Don't worry, I'll tell ya. I hit a
homerun. It was glorious. Later, they took the lead
somehow and had the lead for most of the
game. Then, in the bottom of the 5th or 6th,
Mauricio got the game-tying RBI which was clutch as
hell. So, obvi the game went into OT because it is us
and the playoffs. From there, I was pretty sure they
weren't going to score as I was pitching, so we just
had to score. Bottom of the 8th, first batter up,
Chris, the crime dog McGraw belts a triple down the
3rd base line. And that was followed by JJ hitting the
game winning RBI down the first base line to score
the winning run. Chris sacrificed his knee for that
triple and is now on crutches. So, thank you for
putting kickball over health. I was shocked when
someone refused to clap my hand after the game, so
I just slapped his butt. FYI, the more you don't shake
my hand, the more I know I'm in your head. So,
thanks for giving me that satisfaction.
Game 3: Not that upset here. Happy for Booty. Had
a great perfect season. Good job y'all. Also, you're
welcome. After all my talk, that just makes beating
us that much better. We were up 1-0 in the bottom
of the 6th with 2 outs. That's where it ended for
us. Damn, not much happened in the game. It did
downpour for a bit, and there was some great
pitching. Thanks to the few that stayed around to
help ref and watch.

Well, the playoffs happened and we were not the Full
Lauer we could have been, unfortunately we were a few
pieces short of going full Voltron and it showed. How did it
show, well we didn’t win so that’s one way. Another way
would be on the emotional level. A Lauer team sans Lauer
makes no sense and is destined to be doomed by pants,
sun, the desire to peg and the maddening yet life giving
sun.
Alas, this season was not to be ours, but the Fall beckons,
mornings on the fields, slightly hungover/possibly buzzed
but attempt to win we shall. Props to our captain Laura,
she is Elmers that holds us together. Just don’t try and eat
us lest we say it’s ok to do so.
