PRESIDENT Lynette Burke VICE PRESIDENT Crystal Morway
Welcome to 2012! Hope everyone had a great holiday and an enjoyable winter
break. Sometime in January will be the halfway mark of the school year, can
you believe it? Thank you to all who have volunteered their time or donated
items so far this year. PTA can’t do it without you! We have a lot planned for
the second half of the year.
Congratulations to Wilcox for becoming a Fox 8 Cool School. Our students,
staff members and parents take great pride in our school and it showed. We all
came together (as we always do) to win “Cool School”, prepare our school for
the Fox 8 visit, and show our pride during the taping. Mr. Dawson was
extremely impressed by how we all work together for benefit of our students.

Dear Wilcox Parent(s),
It is wonderful to be back, from our
holiday break. We all hope you each had a
pleasant and relaxing holiday and are ready, as
we are for the school year to continue.
Some quick reminders to parents on a few
important dates coming up in January: We will
be having our first Family Fun Night of 2012, on
Friday, January 13th at the NRMS, where we will
be playing BINGO from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Our
next PTA meeting is on Thursday, January 19th
at 6:30 p.m. in Mr. McMillan’s Art Room. Two
upcoming days students will not be in school are
Monday, January 16th which is Martin Luther
King Day and Friday, January 20th (Records
Day). We ask that you plan appropriately for
these two days students will not be attending
school.
We look forward to the upcoming coming
months and hope to see you at our school’s
functions and again we hope that each of you
had a joyful holiday!
