INTRO
The
Flyboard
is
THE
new
nautical
extreme sport accessible to all. This new
discipline
at
the
crossroads
of
wakeboard, surf, kite and jet-ski that
allows its user to heights up to 11 meters
above water, to dive and leap in and
out of the water and to realize multiple
freestyle figures. As impressive in its
utilization as in its visual aspect, the
Flyboard became in over a year an
unavoidable sport activity.
The Flyboard World Cup is the only
Flyboard competition organized on 3
days
which
gathers
best
riders
worldwide for a unique freestyle show.
With more than 70 riders from over 20
nationalities,
partners,
international
animations
and
media
lightening
Flyboard show, the Flyboard World cup
is the major extreme sport competition.

The Flyboard has been inspired by
all the passions of his inventor, the
multiple jet-ski World
Champion
and jet-ski manufacturer, Frankie
Zapata.
wakeboard one brightens up with
two pipes which, linked to a Jet-ski
turbine with a 18 meters pipe,
allows its user to highs up to 10
meters
from
water.
The
board
orientation is made by the board
inclination.
The height that can be reached
depends from the Jet-Ski power.
With a 150HP, the Flyboarder can
already highs up to 5 or 6 meters
and with a 250HP, the user will use
the maximum pipe length that is 10
meters.
The Flyboard can be used alone or
at two-users.
At two users, one person on the jet
who controls the gazes while the
second flies on the Flyboard.

each other on different selective steps
which will be noted according to the

perform independently and will have a
limited time of 1 min to 5 minutes to
challenge his opponent by showing the best
tricks.
For the qualifications, grades are allocated
to firstly determine the general rank and set
the 16 battles and on the other stages, to
determine the winner of each battle.

PRACTICAL INFO
Who can participate?
Any rider who can perform a backflip trick.
A first selection is made on video.
Where to organize?
The competition is organized on sea, in a
sheltered bay for a practice in calm water.
What are the geographic requirements?
The competition area occurs in a square of
100 by 50 meters delimited by buoys. A
pontoon allows competitors to equip and
take off.
The minimum depth is 6 meters.
