We value each family member’s demonstration of care and concern for their loved one and have put together some guidelines to allow both patients and families some structure to maximize the benefit of visits and aid in the recovery and well-being of patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit daily between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm. Some units and areas may have special visiting hours or restrictions; please check with a member of the nursing team for details. Please limit visitors to two people at a time. If you have a fever, upper respiratory symptoms or an undetermined rash, for the patient’s safety, we request that you do not visit. Intensive Care Unit Visitors of patients in the second floor ICU are limited to two immediate family members at a time. Visiting hours are scheduled from 5:30 – 6:30 am, 10:00 am – Noon, 1:00 – 2:30 pm, 4:00 – 6:00 pm, and 7:00 – 8:00 pm. In most cases, the visiting time range is two hours but we ask that visiting time is limited to 30 minutes with a maximum of two visitors in this two-hour range. The nursing staff may limit visiting times according to the needs of the patient or the activity within the unit. You may be asked to leave prior to the end of the posted visiting time. We ask for your cooperation and understanding in these circumstances. Children under age 12 may not enter the ICU; some exceptions may be made. Ask your family member’s nurse and be prepared for the nurse to request a few moments to talk with the child prior to making a decision. Cell phones and floral arrangements are not permitted in the ICU. Women & Children’s Center Labor and Delivery Fathers may visit at any time suitable to both parents.
