ADMITTING/PATIENT ACCESS/REGISTRATION
Patient Access/Registration is located in the main lobby
of the hospital.
Hours are Monday – Thursday, 5:30 am – 6:00 pm
Friday, 5:30 am – 5:30 pm
Saturday, 8:30 am – 3 pm
Closed on Sundays and holidays.
All other times, please go to the Emergency Department
for patient registration.
VISITING HOURS
Family visits are important to the recovery of patients. We
value each family member’s demonstration of care and concern
for their loved one and have put together some guidelines to
allow both patients and families some structure to maximize
the benefit of visits and aid in the recovery and well-being of
patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit daily
between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm. Some units and areas may have
special visiting hours or restrictions; please check with a member
of the nursing team for details. Please limit visitors to two people
at a time. If you have a fever, upper respiratory symptoms or an
undetermined rash, for the patient’s safety, we request that you
do not visit.
Intensive Care Unit
Visitors of patients in the second floor ICU are limited to
two immediate family members at a time. Visiting hours
are scheduled from 5:30 – 6:30 am, 10:00 am – Noon,
1:00 – 2:30 pm, 4:00 – 6:00 pm, and 7:00 – 8:00 pm. In most
cases, the visiting time range is two hours but we ask that
visiting time is limited to 30 minutes with a maximum of two
visitors in this two-hour range. The nursing staff may limit
visiting times according to the needs of the patient or the
activity within the unit. You may be asked to leave prior to the
end of the posted visiting time. We ask for your cooperation
and understanding in these circumstances.
Children under age 12 may not enter the ICU; some exceptions
may be made. Ask your family member’s nurse and be prepared
for the nurse to request a few moments to talk with the child
prior to making a decision. Cell phones and floral arrangements
are not permitted in the ICU.
Women & Children’s Center
Labor and Delivery
Fathers may visit at any time suitable to both parents. Other
visitors are limited to two people at any time. No children,
other than siblings of the baby, are allowed to visit.
Nursery
Only fathers and grandparents may visit the nursery; no
children are allowed. We request that all visitors wash their
hands at the nursery entrance before entering.
Pediatrics
A parent or other adult is requested to stay, at all times, with
pediatric patients under the age of 12 years. Visitors are limited
to two people at a time.
Postpartum
Visitors are limited to two people at a time. Children are not
allowed in the room if the baby is present.
TMC Behavioral Health Center
Each BHC patient is assigned a privacy code upon admission.
Visitors must present the code for staff to acknowledge that
the patient has been admitted to the BHC. It is the patient’s
responsibility to share the code with family and friends.
Reba McEntire Center for Rehabilitation
Visiting hours at Reba Rehab are between 10:00 am and
8:00 pm daily. Visitors are asked to plan their visits around the
patient’s therapy sessions. Family members are encouraged
to participate in their loved one’s rehabilitation program.
PARKING
Ample patient parking is available throughout the campus.
Visitor parking is located near the main hospital entrance. The
main entrance of the hospital is open from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm
daily. After 9:00 pm, all guests should enter through the
Emergency Entrance located on the south side of the hospital.
FAMILY ACCOMMODATIONS
A family member may be able to spend the night in the patient’s
room. For more information, contact a member of the nursing
team.
Overnight stays at TMC’s Reba McEntire Center for Rehabilitation
are considered on an individual basis. Please discuss any special
needs with a member of the rehabilitation team.
Family members of any patient, including but not limited to
those in ICU, may be able to stay at Reba’s Ranch House, a
home away from home for patients’ families. The Ranch House,
a service of the Texoma Health Foundation, is located behind
the hospital at 5036 Reba Drive. Space at Reba’s Ranch House
is limited and is available by referral only. Ask a member of the
nursing team about referral information.
CONDITION REPORTS
To assure patient privacy and confidentiality, any personal
information about a patient’s medical condition must come
from the patient or the patient’s physician. For patients in ICU,
a designated family member is welcome to call the nursing
station for condition updates.
