Page 7 Page 8 3/11/16-The Country Times-Issue #312 The Gift From the time I was little I knew I was different and I was considered shy in my younger years because I didn’t know how to handle the “Gifts” I had and I was afraid if people knew they would make fun of me. When I got older I learned how to hide them and play it cool. It has its advantages, but also the disadvantages. One of the gifts is I can meet someone and within a minute I know them as if I’ve known them all my life. The advantage of this is; you will meet someone and you know right off they are frauds, liars, trouble makers, or someone you just don’t want to associate with. You also know if they are true and right from the beginning you make friends with them. But, the ones that can fool others but not you makes it rough and you have to pretend to like them to keep you from looking like a snob until you can excuse yourself from their presence and not have to worry about seeing them again. It can be fun sometimes playing them before they can play you. Another “Gift” you know when something is going to happen, well sometimes it’s a gift because the warnings can come days in advance which will put you on edge until it happens. You know when the phone will ring, know when your kids needs you, you know when to get back up and lock the door, because your gift makes you wake up in the middle of the night to go check it. My mom had the gift, I have it, and my daughter has it. You don’t broadcast this gift because back in the old days they would’ve called you a witch and burned you at the stake, now people just call you weird. I have adjusted so well and so has my daughter where no one even knows we have the gift. I remember one time my daughter and I was driving on a rural back road on a gorgeous afternoon having a great time talking and enjoying the day. We had taken the long way around and the road was narrow and when you met another vehicle you both practically had to stop to edge by each other. There was a sharp turn and right before we started around it I pulled practically over in the ditch and came to a stop. My daughter looked over at me and asked me what I was doing? About that time a big tanker truck was flying around the turn on our side of the road and if we had met it in the middle of the road we both would’ve been killed. She looked at me and said she should’ve known I knew it was dangerous to go around the turn. Another time my daughter and her boyfriend went to leave for a date and as they started out the door I stopped them. I looked at my daughter with the look she had came to known and I told her she forgot something in her room. We walked in her bedroom and she asked what was wrong and I told her I had a bad feeling. She hugged me and said she did too. She yelled for her boyfriend and asked would he care to watch a movie at home tonight and he said no problem. As they were scanning through the channels to see what was on TV the fire trucks went out and when we turned the scanner on there was a real bad rock slide on the route they would’ve taken. If they had left when they started to they would’ve been buried under the pile of boulders. She is now married and she will call me and I’ll answer on the first ring because I would be in the middle of calling her when she called and same way when I call her. As far as mom, well she’s gone, but she is still here. When I’m having a day and I think the world is closing in on me she lets me know she is still here with me. Usually it’s something funny that is a joke between us. She’s getting obvious to others though when she lets me know she is watching me and her shoulder is still here for me to lean on. I think that’s why she always does something funny to cheer me up. I have a friend that we compare notes on with our adventures and it’s great sometimes knowing that my family wasn’t the only ones to inherit the gifts. I play it down a lot when things happen and act innocent and to the most part no one ever suspects. I could tell you hundreds of incidents, but I think you get the idea of my abilities and there are a lot more than me, so when you are trying to fool someone, remember you might be the one been fooled and looking more foolish every time you open your mouth with another lie. Remember always be true and honest cause you don’t know who has the “Gift” and can see right through you. 3/11/16-The Country Times-Issue #312 Check us out on Facebook Free Estimates Insurance Claims Welcomed 548-4611 Owner: Herb Townsend Burke Memorial Methodist Church Located across Camp Creek Bridge Sunday Morning Preaching-9:AM Sunday School-10:AM, Wednesday Night Bible Study-7:PM Pastor: Jerry Chandler *************************** Young’s Memorial Church, Queen Shoals Pastor Allen Jones Sunday School 10:00am, Sunday Preaching 11am & 6pm Tuesday Bible Study 6:30pm Across Queen Shoals Bridge– approx. 2 miles on right ************************** Faith Missionary Baptist Church Bomont, Cross Queen Shoals bridge. Page 17 THE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS OF LIFETIME EXPERIENCES BY JULIET RHODES LYNCH Part II The experiences of Emotions when you have had a breakdown of things in your life, and have prayed and wept til your body hurts with weakness. The core of this action seems as if your last breath is the only thing that can release you from this feeling. Then all of a sudden your whole body relaxes and a great calm comes over you. The hurt and weakness gone and tears stop. THE SPIRIT OF GOD HAS HEARD YOUR PRAYERS AND GIVEN YOU PEACE. Feelings, come when you find that things in your life, are starting to become a surprise of good events and happiness. Feelings come when you have helped others and you know, you have made a difference. The emotions come when people show there caring ways to you and when you are thanked for your making the difference in other people’s lives. Have you ever walked away from a good experience and all of a sudden felt your heart beat a little faster and a deep warmth coming over you? Then unexplainable tears fall down your cheeks. That is emotions left over from feelings. Wow the complex human nature is something that we don’t always own by ourselves. I have come to the understanding of humanness in animals. Not just a CAT, DOG, OR other animals. They are not dumb. They are smart and at times are more loving and good at being more human than humans. They take care of other animals’ young. They will stay with them when hurt or ill, til other help comes, or they can get you help. They love you unconditionally. They know if you are a bad person with evil intent. They are knowledgeable beyond understanding in the sense that they will be friends with animals that are not of their species. They will love and take care of each other and will mourn if one dies, either of their species or even another. Feelings and Emotions are an intricate part of our lives. God’s , EMOTIONS WERE A PART OF SAVING US , DYING FOR US AND HANGING ON A CROSS FOR US. HOW DO WE REPAY HIM WITH OUR LOVE, PRAISES, FELLOWSHIP, PRAYERS, FOR HAVING FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS FOR EVERY ONE OF US AND MAKING US HIS CHILDREN. CAN YOU EMAGINE THE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS THAT WILL COME UPON US,WHEN WE SEE JESUS , OUR LORD AND SAVIOR TO BE WITH HIM FOREVER. Kayla Shae Fry age 27, of Amma, WV peacefully passed away February 26, 2016. You couldn't tame her if you tried, she was that free-spirited person with an infectious laugh that could and did light up a room. A truly unique and beautiful soul left us too early and will be remembered, cherished and in our hearts forever. She was her happiest self when spending time with her son, who her whole world passionately revolved around. Being the restless free spirit that she was, her other passion was her love of the outdoors, whether that be fishing, hunting or "mudding". Cuddling with her son or just being in nature was her favorite pastime. This vibrant mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend left us too soon and we mourn her passing with the heaviest of hearts. But, we also celebrate her life and the joy she gave to so many during her years on this earth. We will always have the wonderful memories she gave us and in the future we hope to find solace in the everlasting peace she has now. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Donald and Leona Heiney; paternal grandparents Doug and Melinda Fry; and Patricia Ann Fry. She is survived by her parents Michael A. Fry and Lisa (Gene) Smith, son Hayden Drake Joplin; siblings Misty Pruseck; Todd (Amanda) Fry; Sarah (Zach) Cooper; and a special cousin Tessa Batten.
