This year, ANCOM’s international conference is dedicated to discussing the regulatory vision for the next five years in
the Romanian electronic communications sector. Intended as an interactive public debate on a discussion paper
drafted by ANCOM, our event is aimed at bringing together the stakeholder’s views and expertise as regards the
developments and the trends of the European and international electronic communications market, in order to bring
an increased coherence and effectiveness of the regulatory decisions, as well as improving the predictability and
transparency of the regulatory framework.

How to reach the city
The “Henri Coanda” - Otopeni international
airport is 12 miles North from the center of
Bucharest and the city center can be most
comfortably reached by taxi.
From the airport, the fare of approx. 50 Lei is
the equivalent in Romanian currency of about
EUR 12. The ride takes around 45 minutes,
depending on the traffic. In case you wish to call a taxi from any
place in the city, the numbers of the most frequently used
companies are (please dial with the prefix 021): 9440, 9441,
9451, 9791, 9425, 9444, 9488, 9466, 9477. A company taxi is
around 1.40 Lei per kilometer, the equivalent of about EUR
0.30.
As for the public transportation, buses #783
and #780 depart every half an hour from the
arrivals terminal towards downtown. More

Public Transportation
In Bucharest, public transportation (www.ratb.ro), including the subway (www.metrorex.ro), operates from 05:30
to 23:00. For ground transport, you must buy an Active Card that costs 3.7 LEI (EUR 0.84), which must be
charged with a minimum value of 1.3 LEI (EUR 0.30) that means one trip by bus, trolleybus or tramway. For
underground transportation, 2-way cards are available in subway stations, for a price of 5 LEI (EUR 1.10).

around 12ºC, with chances of rain showers. Usually, the month of November in Bucharest is a
constantly cold one from the temperature point of view, without significant temperature
variations.
