The business model sought to promote the anti‐bullying wristbands within school.
Ticket prices were £4.50 in which the manufacturing cost of the wrist band was included. Apollo also donated £1 to Child line; built into their business plan.
Over 100 students attended, the disco was a great success. Apollo’s venture was highly lucrative but equally philanthropic.

In lessons, we also took the theme of words can hurt, we showed a video we created, and had workshops which explored the issue of bullying. We incorporated games and fun activities into lessons theme in order engage students.
One of the activities in our anti‐bullying lesson looks at homophobia it was called ‘Can you tell by looking?’ We posted images of well known celebrities around the room and asked students to identify them according to their perceived sexuality. We were challenging prejudice from the outset.

• We arranged a non‐ uniform day to raise money for Child‐line and NSPCC.
• Each student in school donated at least £1. • In total we raised over £1000. Publicising our work in Commonweal Matters
On 23rd November, all of the year seven tutor groups were taught an anti‐bullying lesson by the peer educators. The lesson involved two anti‐
bullying activities and a number of definition based exercises. A number of role plays were also involved which allowed the year sevens to empathise with both the bullies and victims. By the end of the lesson, the year sevens understood the different types of bullying and what they could do to identify and stop them. By Charlie Barrett and Tamsyn Smith
