Leave No Bridge Unburned is the newest from Whitehorse, the Canadian
wedded duo of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, their third under
that moniker after numerous solo albums by each. Luke’s guitar slinging
capabilities have been sublimated on their previous release but shine
through on this effort in combination with their expected high standard
songwriting with the power of an album far removed from the folk stylings
of their first release.
The promise put forth in DRRT, the first CD by Portland’s Lost Lander has
manifested itself on Medallion-- -the highly anticipated new release on
Glad I Did Recordings. The band whose lyrics prompted Rolling Stone to
describe as “deeply personal and emotionally charged” has been
enthusiastically captured by producer Brent
Knopf of Menomena with an album that explores the duality of
experiences of love and loss, impermanence and longevity, death and
rebirth.

Little Freddie King has spent decades in New Orleans but still retains the
McComb, Mississippi blues he grew up on. Unlike many of today’s blues
musicians who have heard about juke joints, LFK grew up in them
learning from folks like Slim Harpo, Snooks Eaglin, Buddy Guy and
eventually (Big) Freddie King. He’s outlived most and still works hard
with his mix of rural and city blues travelling around the world spreading
the gospel of gutbucket.
BP Fallon is an Irish born writer whose career has seen him interviewing
John and Yoko at their Amsterdam bed-in which led to a job at Apple
Records, to coining the phrase “T-Rextacy” for Mark Bolan as his publicist
to working with a gamut of artists from Led Zeppelin to Ian Dury. He was
the DJ on U2s Zoo tour as well as for The Kills and My Bloody Valentine.
He has recorded with Jack White, Ian McLagan and members of
Blondie. His new album is Live In Texas where he now lives and features
Joe King Carrasco.

Winners of Willamette Week's 2011 Best New Band poll (past finalists have included Menomena,
Starfucker, and Typhoon), And And And finally are releasing what can only be called the follow-up to that
year's blur of output, culminating with the early 2012 Lost EP. They're known for truly epic live shows with no
clear delineation between stage and offstage or audience member and musician. Recorded over ten days in
San Diego with Rafter Roberts between skateboarding and drinking sessions, the record is fiery and urgent.
It evokes classic grunge-era sounds from the Northwest (think Mudhoney and early Nirvana), but bleeds

Fallon, BP, 'Live In Texas'
Saustex is pleased to present Live In Texas, the latest release from BP Fallon. Fallon has spent a lifetime in
music as a storied DJ (U2's Zoo TV Tour), writer, photographer, publicist (Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, T Rex)
and manager but has come to the table as a performer only relatively recently. Described in Hammer Of The
Gods as “a visionary imp”, by Vogue magazine as “a gentle wispy sorcerer”, and by Bono as ” a rock’n’roll
creature. The only white black man I know apart from Bob Dylan”, Fallon has always possessed a nose for

Gendron, Myriam, Not So Deep as a Well
Myriam Gendron makes her living as a copy-editor and book dealer, leading to her discovery of Not So
Deep as a Well, an anthology of Dorothy Parker poetry. Parker's poems hit just the right note and Myriam
began putting them to music. "Before even understanding the meaning of the words, I heard a song," she
says. "I flipped through the pages and it just kept happening." A full album came out of it. Recorded and
mixed in her bedroom, Myriam Gendron's debut album started as a simple project but became more serious
as she began to absorb Parker's work. The album, also titled Not So Deep as a Well, is one of love and hate,
all at once brutal, mischievous, humorous and blue. Not So Deep as a Well was initially released on March
4th, 2014 on limited edition vinyl. Now the album will finally be released by Mama Bird on CD with two
previously unreleased tracks.

Lost Lander, Medallion
Before she died, Matt Sheehy's mother used to tell him about a dream she had about Lost Land Lake—a
place she spent part of her mid-western childhood. That dream inspired the name of the Juneau-born,
Portland based songwriter's band, and her memory is imbued in Lost Lander’s Medallion. If DRRT, the
group’s first independently released album, was about the confluence of nature and technology, Medallion,
