There must be a smooth bend in the cable housing where it meets your bike
frame, with a bit of extra room for cable movement. You must leave this extra
room because when you press the remote, this cable moves. Pulling the cable
tight will prevent this movement, causing the post to not work correctly. Check
to make sure that when the lever is activated, the housing does not interfere
with frame or seat collar.

After you have completely routed your cable, be sure to leave a few millimeters
of light spring action in the remote (3-4mm). This is normal and required for
proper functioning. When pressing the remote, you should feel a bit of light
spring action before the remote activates. Do not adjust the barrel adjuster to
remove this spring action.
It is important that this spring action exists after the cable housing has been
completely routed and attached to the frame. Out of the box, the housing and
cable have been designed to fit most housing set ups without needing
adjustment. However, in some situations, the cable can be routed so that there
is less that the 2-3 mm of play at the remote. In this case, you will need to
open the cover and unscrew the 2mm allen screw holding the cable. Push the
lever to allow a little bit of cable to slide down. Check to make sure that the
remote has light spring action, and then re-torque the 2mm allen screw to just
under 1Nm. remote torque// tech :: http://www.crankbrothers.com/support/remote_setup_seatposts_kronolog.php The required torque on the remote T-25 bolt is 2.5Nm. Tightening over that can
damage the remote assembly and/or the seatpost. The lever should have light
spring back when it is lightly activated. If there is not light spring back after
adjusting the barrel adjuster and/or cable length, remove the o-ring from under
the bolt head. seat collar torque//
It is possible, for the motion of the seat post to be restricted if the seat collar is
very tight. Follow the manufacturer recommend torque on seat collars. with proper kronolog setup, you will be ready for a flawless ride.
