STUGO Elections
Starting on Monday, September 17, interested
students submitted their petitions for student government.
Petitions were presented for class representatives, secretarytreasurer, vise president, and president. On Friday, student
candidates gave their election speeches.
ICA President/ Vice President Debates
For the first time, ICA held on election debate for
the positions of president and vice president. Headmaster
John Cheska served as moderator and asked a series of
questions to each candidates. Also, the audience was
invited to ask questions.
The candidates for Vice-President were Jason
Huang ‘13 and Mark Ho ‘13. Presidential candidates were
Angel Lin 1 ‘13 and Song Min ‘13.
All of the candidates impressed the students body
with their goals for the student government for the year.
Their leadership qualities and their willingness to work
long and hard for the betterment of ICA
Also, the audience was attentive and the student and
faculty questions were well thought out, was held for
Monday, September 24, Afternoon.
The new officers for Student Balloting Government
for the 2012/2013 school year are Angel Lin, President;
Mark Ho, Vice President; And Vickie Chien, SecretaryTreasurer. Vickie Chien who ran unopposed.
Girls Varsity Volleyball Place Third
The varsity girls volleyball team placed third of five
schools at the KAS Tournament. Each of the games were
extremely , Sarah Griffith ‘13, Tiffany Huang ‘13, and
Jessie Lin ‘14, turned in top performances.
Although the girl’s JV Team did not win any games,
the top server for the day was Erica Yang 15’, followed by
Brenny Chen ‘15. Maggie Liao ‘17 had an outstanding day
on the court.
Men’s Soccer Place 2nd in Kaohsiung
The men’s soccer team lost in a “Shoot-Out” for
first place and finished second in the Kaohsiung Soccer
Tournament. For ICA, Jeremy Lin ‘13 second 8 goals for
the day, and Colin Hsu ‘13 had a goal from a kick corner.
