Point the shotgun in a safe direction and place the saftey in
the "on" position. Next, pull back on the slide and carefully inspect the
chamber to be sure the shotgun is unloaded.
NOTE: You must first install the Ghost Ring Sights to the
heatshield before installation on your firearm.
NOTE: Halo Heatshield Lenght is 16 1/4” or 16 1/2” with
the optional 2” Picatinny Rail Installed.
NOTE: Halo Heastshield may not fit 18” Barrels with a
Muzzle Standoff
NOTE: Not Compatible with Vent Rib Barrels

Begin by locating the front snap-in ghost ring insert.
Apply the small rectangular adhesive silicone pad to the
back of the insert as seen in Figure 1A. Press down
firmly on the silicone pad for 10-15 seconds to ensure the
pad adheres to the insert properly as seen in Figure 1B.

Locate the rear snap-in barrel clip and the supplied
silicone pad as seen in Figure 1A. Remove the white
backing and align the supplied silicone pad to the inside
of the clip. Press down firmly on the silicone pad for
20-30 seconds along the length of the pad to ensure the
silicone pad adheres to the barrel clip properly as seen in
Figure 1B.
Locate the (2) supplied triangular shaped silicone pads.
Insert the pads on the inside front of the heatshield as
seen in Figure 2A, one pad should be placed on each
side of the heatshield. Press down firmly on each pad for
10-15 seconds to ensure the pad adheres to the
heatshield properly as seen in Figure 2B.

Remove the barrel from your firearm. Take the rear barrel
clip as seen in Figure 3A and snap it into the rear of the
heatshield as seen in Figure 3B.

Align the heatshield over the barrel as seen in Figure 4A.
Install the heatshield onto the barrel by snapping the
heatshield onto the barrel as seen in Figure 4B. Make
sure the the heatshield is centered on the barrel while
snapping it into place.
Note: If there are any existing sights on the barrel which
interfere with the heatshield, they will need to be removed
for heatshieldinstallation.

Locate the (2) large v-block spacers for the front of the
heatshield. Apply the small adhesive pad to the larger
angled sides on the both of the spacers you will be
installing as seen in Figure 5.
NOTE: If your firearm has a magazine extension, you
must use the (2) smaller v-block spacers for installation
(See page 7 for further instructions).

With the silicone pads applied to the v-blocks, turn the vblocks over and press the silicone pad on a hard surface
for 10 to 15 seconds to ensure the pad adheres to the vblock properly as seen in Figure 6.

7
8
Insert the (2) v-block spacers into the designated holes
on the front of the heatshield so that the larger side of the
v-block spacer (as seen in Figure 7A) with the adhesive
padding on it is against the barrel as seen in Figure 7B.
The spacers should snap into place and rest on the
outside of the barrel as seen in Figure 7C.
NOTE: Notice the holes on the large v-block spacer are
not centered. Make sure to insert the v-block spacers so
that the larger side is closest to and resting against the
barrel.
Snap both of the spacers into place and ensure they are
tight to the barrel as seen in Figure 8A. You are now
ready to install the (2) Halo Heatshield side rails. If you
would like to install picatinny rails to the your Halo
Heatshield, they will install onto these side rails. Locate
the (2) side rails as seen in Figure 8B. Notice how each is
individually tapped and threaded for screw installation.
NOTE: ATI Halo Heatshield Picatinny Rails are Sold
Separately (A.5.10.1325).

9 With the spacers in place on the front of the heatshield,
align the (2) side rails over the front ends of the
heatshield as seen in Figure 9A . Align each individually
as (1) screw will be inserted from each side of the
heatshield as seen in Figure 9B. Insert the 6-32 by 1-1/2"
flathead head allen screw into the side rail, and through
both of the heatshield spacers as seen in Figure 9C.
NOTE: Each side rail is individually tapped and threaded
on the back side. These threads allow the screws to
thread directly into the rails, which secures the rails and
heatshield to the barrel.
9A
9B
9C
10 Use a 5/64" allen driver to thread and begin to fasten the
6-32 x 1-1/2" screws into the side rails as seen in Figure
10A. Notice how one screw will be inserted on each side.
NOTE: You may have to slightly squeeze the heatshield
together so the screws fit into the threads on the rails as
seen in Figure 10B.
10A
10B
11 With the screws slightly threaded into the side rails,
secure the rails evenly by using a 5/64" allen driver and
alternate your tightening from one screw, to the other as
seen in Figure 11. Tighten each screw evenly and secure
the heatshield and side rails to the firearm. This will
ensure the best fit for your new Halo Heatshield.
NOTE: Screws will bottom out inside the blind pre-tapped
threaded hole on each side rail. Make sure you do not
over tighten any hardware. This may lead to the hardware
stripping, which is not covered under ATI's warranty
policy.
11
12 Your new Halo Heatshield Side Rails should now be
successfully installed onto your firearm as seen in Figure
12.
NOTE: Ensure the heatshield is all of the way to the rear
and against the receiver.

If your firearm has an extended magazine or a magazine
tube extension, continue here from step 5. Locate the
smaller v-block spacers as seen in Figure 1A, and apply
the adhesive padding(as seen in Figure 1B) to one side of
each block as explained in step 5 .

4
With the adhesive padding in place and the heatshield
aligned correctly over the barrel, insert the smaller v-block
spacers under the heatshield between the barrel and the
magazine extension as seen in Figure 3A. Align the vblock spacers with the heatshield so that the holes are
facing outward and slide the spacers into the designated
holes on the heatshield until they snap into place as seen
in Figure 3B.

Use the same process as the above step to install the
opposite side v-block spacer as seen in Figure 4A and
4B.

thread directly into the rails, which secures the rails and
heatshield to the barrel.

With the spacers in place on the front of the heatshield,
align the (2) side rails over the front ends of the
heatshield as seen in Figure 6A . Align each individually
as (1) screw will be inserted from each side of the
heatshield as seen in Figure 6B. Insert the 6-32 by 1-5/8"
flathead head allen screw into the side rail, and through
both of the heatshield spacers as seen in Figure 6C.
NOTE: Each side rail is individually tapped and threaded
on the back side. These threads allow the screws to
thread directly into the rails, which secures the rails and
heatshield to the barrel.

Use a 5/64" allen driver to thread and begin to fasten the
6-32 x 1-5/8" screws into the side rails as seen in Figure

NOTE: You may have to slightly squeeze the heatshield
together so the screws fit into the threads on the rails as
seen in Figure 7B.

With the screws slightly threaded into the side rails,
secure the rails evenly by using a 5/64" allen driver and
alternate your tightening from one screw, to the other as
seen in Figure 8 . Tighten each screw evenly and secure
the heatshield and side rails to the firearm. This will
