Top Performers TEAMWORK = SUCCESS Our Detention/Transportation Officer Teams perform duties and responsibilities as prescribed on a daily basis. In San Benito, TX they have teamwork down to an art! Below is a photo of our officers working as a team at the Browsville, TX Hunt PanAm Airport Flight-line during a removal mission. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Air Operations (I.A.O.) and Local I.C.E. thank all at Trailboss for maintaining missions flawlessly and providing superior services by maintaining relations and communications above and beyond. - Arturo Boulof Assistant Transportation Coordinator Pictured below are Detention/Transportation Officers are from the San Benito, TX hub. 2 Special Recognition Wright Patterson AFB, OH From the Department of the Air Force Headquarters 88th Air Base Wing (AFMC)... “In preparation for the AFMC Freedom’s Call TATTOO during the week of 22-26 June 2015 Trailboss was called upon to endure the delivery of equipment, DV transportation, and crew support to host the excpected 50,000 spectators. Unfortunately, severe weather forced us to cancelled the event just hours before the show. Trailboss employees ensured all of the production transportation needs were available, delivered and in place to support not only the venue requirements, but also those of the participating aircrews and Wings of Blue Parachute Team. Team “Motorpool” went above and beyond as one of our UDRIVES experienced a flat tire. With a simple telephone call this issue was resolved immediately saving what could have been a serious setback to the performance if the show had gone on. Likewise, following the event, the transportation needs of returning equipment to include transporting the RSU to flightline were completed as scheduled! With limited resources, our production could not have been successful without the hard work and dedication provided by this team. The entire staff is very appreciative of the time and hard work put forth to ensure the success of what would have been a grand performance if only the weather had held out.” - David A Enger Director AFMC Freedom’s Call TATTOO Eric Littrell, PM Wright-Patterson AFB, OH “Thank you for providing excceptional support to CORONA Top 2015 and my associated Change of Command activities. As a vital team lead your professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence contributed to a week of activities that were an oustanding success! You ensured the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff of the Air Forcee, and over seventy other senior Air Force leaders felt welcomed and experienced a magnificent visit to Headquarters AFMC. Thank you again for your superb leadership and “four-star” performance. Additional preparations may help make a trip safer, or help motorists deal with an emergency. This information sheet put together by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provides safety information for to use to help prevent motor vehicle injuries due to winter storms. The Three P’s of Safe Winter Driving: PREPARE for the trip; PROTECT yourself; and PREVENT crashes on the road. PREPARE Maintain Your Car: check battery, tire tread, and windshield wipers, keep your windows clear, put no-freeze fluid in the washer reservoir, and check your antifreeze. Have On Hand: flashlight, jumper cables, abrasive material (sand, kitty litter, even floor mats), shovel, snow brush and ice scraper, warning devices (like flares) and blankets. For long trips, add food and water, medication and cell phone. Stopped or Stalled? Stay with your car, don’t over exert, put bright markers on antenna or windows and shine dome lights, and, if you run your car, clear exhaust pipe and run it just enough to stay warm. Plan Your Route: Allow plenty of time (check the weather and leave early if necessary), be familiar with the maps/directions, and let others know your route and arrival time. PROTECT YOURSELF - buckle up and use child safety seats properly, never place a rear-facing infant seat in front of an air bag; children 12 and under are much safer in the back seat. PREVENT CRASHES: drugs and alcohol never mix with driving, slow down and increase distances between cars, keep your eyes open for pedestrians walking in the road, avoid fatigue - get plenty of rest before the trip, stop at least every three hours, and rotate drivers if possible. If you are planning to drink, designate a sober driver. -Ricky Carns Program Manager Anchorage, AK 5 Congressional Summit Congressman Vela hosted the 34th District of Texas Congressional Summit in Harlingen, TX on August 22, 2015.
