The South Dorchester Folk Museum The mission of the South Dorchester Folk Museum Inc. (SDFM) is to assure the preservation of historically significant stories, properties, and artifacts of the people of Southern Dorchester County. SDFM shall record the memories and accounts of individuals who can speak about life in the early days of Dorchester County, and make these recordings available to the public for their personal interest or research. SDFM shall cooperate with the Dorchester County Historical Society to assure the preservation and display of historic artifacts from South Dorchester, and assist and cooperate with other organizations who have similar interests. Your contribution helps The Friends support the Refuge in maintaining critical habitat for migrating waterfowl, songbirds, eagles, ospreys, shorebirds, and other Eastern Shore wildlife, providing scenic outdoor recreation and education for schoolchildren, bird-watchers, hikers, bikers, paddlers, fishermen, hunters – and in turn supports Dorchester tourism. Participants come from all over the region: MD, DE, VA, PA, WV, NJ, NY, and more!
