Repeat Still with the bobble stitch on the left needle, knit, knit into the back and knit again, all into the same stitch. Then slip the bobble stitch off the left needle. You should now have 5 stitches (orange) from the one bobble stitch (pink) 5. P5 Turn the work and purl the 5 stitches, then turn the work and K5 stitches 6. P2tog... On the Purl side, P2tog,(purl 2 sts together) P1, P2tog making 3 sts. 7. Sl2tog... On the knit row, put your needle into the two stitches as if you were going to K2tog, but instead, slip them both onto the right needle, without making a stitch. Then knit the 3rd stitch. 8. Psso... On the right needle, pick up the 2 stitches and pull them over the top of the last stitch and off the right needle (pink arrow) 9. Bobble made... Additional finish detail Usually you will continue knitting now and the additional stitches will pop outwards in a bobble shape. There is one more step I usually do to finish off my bobble and make it more secure, however you don't need to do this to make a bobble..... Give the bobble a bit of a tug to make sure the stitches are even either side of it and on the bobble itself. Bring your yarn forward (grey yarn in the picture) and wrap it around the bobble in a counter clockwise direction (if you are looking at the bobble / right side of work), then simply take it to the back again. Before you continue and knit the next stitch, give the yarn a little tug. This will tighten around the bobble stitches and make them neater and more prominent. a TIP #1 On steps 7 and 8, slip the two stitches together as described. If you so it one at a time it won't look the same. The Sl2tog creates a twist in the yarn a bit like a SSK, that allows the middle stitch to sit on top when it's finished TIP #2 Wiggle each bobble when you finish. It will even out the stitches either side and on the bobble itself www.twistedangle.co.uk www.twistedangle.co.uk www.twistedangle.co.uk www.twistedangle.co.uk
