We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land. Pray for Israel too!

Whereas they were to destroy cult sites, according to Deuteronomy 12:2 they constructed them –vs. 17:3-­‐4 2. Whereas they were to cut down idols in Deuteronomy 12:3 they manufactured them in 17:3-­‐4 3. Whereas there was an endorsed central community place of worship/shrine to worship Yahweh in Deuteronomy 12:4-­‐7, 11, 13-­‐14, it so happens in Judges 17-­‐18 they repeatedly ignored this—17:2b-­‐5, 13, 18:31b 4. Whereas they were prohibited to do what was right in their own eyes in Deuteronomy 12:8, they violated this with by making determinations that were already established (VERSE HERE) exhibited in 17:6b 5. Whereas they were to support Levites at the central shrine or community worship center (later to be the temple) in Deuteronomy 12:12, 18-­‐19 they instituted on their own accord the idea of private shrines (to add insult to injury they were pagan shrines in their very foundation) –17:7-­‐13; 18:19-­‐
20, 30b None of the activity, sad to say, in chapter 17-­‐18 is sanctioned by God! •
