The "All About Attendance" program is sponsored by Arkansas County Bank and administered by the Education Committee of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. This is the second year of the program, which recognizes students who have perfect attendance, as well as those with good attendance. Good attendance is defined as those students who miss less than 4 days during the school year. "We're honored to sponsor a program that encourages students to show up for school on a regular basis," said Phillip Edwards of Arkansas County Bank. "It's an important lesson in responsibility that we feel will help them later in life when they attend college and enter the workforce." Students with perfect attendance receive cash rewards. High school, junior high and middle school students each receive $100. Students in elementary schools receive $25. "The Arkansas County Bank AAA program teaches students that showing up can reap beneficial rewards, just like in life," said Chamber Education Committee Chairman Lynn Keller. The second year of the program saw a dramatic increase in overall attendance in local schools. "Perfect attendance more than doubled," Keller said. "We attribute that directly to the All About Attendance program and the support of Arkansas County Bank." The "All About Attendance" program is one of several programs administered by the Education Committee of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and supported by local business and industry. Members of the Education Committee include Chairman Lynn Keller, Amy Branson, Elizabeth Skinner, Karen Bagley, Kim Bethea, Kris Lindsey, Dr. Laura Bednar, Melanie Baden, Terry Simpson and Angela Reinhart.
