The OFFERO Story

A regular on the coffee, tea, scotch and wine tasting circuit, owner Mitch Bangert
has worked as an Inn Keeper and Fly Fishing guide in South Central Wyoming to
pay for the above indulgences.
Mitch explains, “These days we’re blessed in having access to so many wonderful
and varied coffees, teas, scotch and wines. From tasting to tasting, the one constant is the talk about the “nose” of the particular drink you’re enjoying. It makes
sense. Your nose is a thousand times more sensitive than your palate and is largely
responsible for the enjoyment of what you’re drinking.”
“About a year ago, we were at a coffee tasting...Kenya, Central America and
South America were all represented. Our host was filling little paper cups with these
wonderful coffees and insisting we cup our hands over the back of the cup to truly
enjoy the nose of our drinks.”
A light bulb turned on. Properly buzzed from enjoying all the great coffees, Mitch
wondered why he couldn’t build the cupped hand function into a cup. Genius!
The very next day, he was on the phone with local clay artists looking for someone
to make a cup based on his specs. After surprisingly little trial and error he had a
cup he was in love with...both aesthetically and with its function. The next 8 months
were spent testing, testing, testing...drinking, drinking, drinking!
After claiming victory and securing a manufacturer Mitch has taken his cups on the
road. The response from the beginning has been incredibly encouraging, humbling
and overwhelming! Such enthusiastic reactions are most

The Tea/Latte Cup 7-8oz
Our Tea/Latte cup is a 7-8oz pour. It carries
the beautiful Offero lines and function but....
we’ve opened up the mouth of the cup for
a more traditional tea look, and also so our
Latte artists can have more room to play in
while creating their masterpieces!
The Espresso Coffee Cup 3oz
The darling of the Offero lineup! At the San
Diego Coffee Fest show we had to hire
security to fend off all of our Espresso cup
fans! This truly is a beautiful, baby version of
our 12, 16 and 20oz Offero cups. Something
about this size, 3oz, and the Offero design
that enhances 10x the nose of your Espresso
shot ... it’s a lot of fun!!

Professional Cupping Bowls
Industry experts review of our Professional
Cupping Bowls.....
I really like the Offero cupping bowls. I did
a standard SCAA cupping according to
protocol. I used 8.5g of coffee and 150 ml
of water. There was still a good amount of
room to break the crust and not spill. I also
used a more common ratio of 11g of coffee and 219 ml of water. This ratio filled the
bowl to the brim and when I broke the crust
there was no spillage. I definitely noticed
more amplified aromas with the Offero. It’s
nice that they are stackable. The design of
the Offero cup is appealing because it sets
you apart. Everyone uses “rocks” glasses
and there really aren’t many options out
there when it comes to cupping’s. It’s easier
to drain the water from the grounds due to
the Offero’s shape. I also measured the full
volume of the bowls and to the brim both of
them measured in at 237ml. These bowls are
rad!
Due to the unique shape of the cups (the belly, taper and extended back)
these can’t be mass produced by machines. Each cup is hand poured
into its mold, fired and hand finished. Each cup will show some irregularities,
light mold lines, some uneven finishes, even minute size differences, but the
integrity of the design and the OFFERO® cups’ beauty and function will
always be maintained.
