The City of Splendora, Texas Police Department The City of Splendora, Texas is now recruiting for the position of Police Officer. Application Process: Applicants are required to submit a personal resume and will complete a personal history packet. All applicants will then be subject to the following guidelines: Prerequisites: • Basic TCOLE Peace Officer Certificate. • Valid Texas Driver’s License and a good driving record. • No family violence or felony convictions. Application process: • Thorough background investigation. • Oral review board. • Physical examination. • Psychological examination. • Drug screening. • Polygraph examination. Position of Police Officer: Once an applicant is found to be qualified, and is approved by The Splendora Police Department administrative staff and City Council of Splendora, Texas, the applicant will begin training and evaluation with The Splendora Police Department. Splendora Police Officer responsibilities and duties: • City-wide residential and commercial patrol. • Traffic enforcement. • Criminal / narcotic investigation. Splendora Police Officer salary and benefits include: • Starting salary of $35,430. • Peace officer certificate pay (intermediate, advanced, master). • Incentive pay (SFST, FTO, crash investigator, etc.). • 401K. • Health Insurance.
