HOMOGENEOUS
CONSTRUCTION
Upofloor Zero is homogeneously constructed which allows
the product to be extremely flexible. This simplifies the
installation process as the flooring can be easily installed into
floor drains and transferred on to walls. The seams are welded
using Upofloor’s PVC Free welding rod, resulting in a floor
which is water tight, hygienic and easy to maintain.
HETEROGENEOUS
DESIGN
Upofloor Zero comes in a wide variety of colours – which
means zero limitations for your creativity and endless
opportunities to mix and match. Whether you wish to
achieve a style that is tastefully subdued, rough and
urban, or vibrant with bright happy tones, this collection
offers you flooring to enhance your style. Meanwhile, the
heterogeneous design with a soft contrast pattern gives
the floor a rich, yet beautifully uniform appearance.
UNIQUE
MATERIAL
The Zero floors are made from a unique material
called ‘Enomer®’. Enomer® is an innovative flooring
material which has been developed by Upofloor.
Enomer® is made from natural minerals and pure
thermoplastic polymers. The material provides
excellent performance characteristics, without
compromising care for the environment or human
beings.

When investing in new flooring, it is
important to consider the total lifecycle
cost – as the cost to maintain a floor over
its life span can substantially exceed the
purchase price. Lifecycle costs include
initial cost, installation cost, operation and
maintenance cost as well as replacement
cost.
FLOO
Thanks to its resistance to both scratching
and contamination, Upofloor Zero has a
low lifecycle cost and is perfect for public
spaces exposed to high traffic and other
challenging conditions.

Zero floors offer a durable and hygienic choice
with a low life cycle cost; they are highly economical
from the viewpoints of property owners, users,
maintenance personnel and the environment.
Zero floors do not require polishing or dry buffing
which means easier cleaning and savings in
maintenance costs.
With its flexible construction, Upofloor Zero is
easy to install. The seams are welded using PVC
free Zero welding rods.
Zero floors’ ease of maintenance is based on their
high performance ionomer surface reinforcement
along with excellent scratch resistance and
antistatic properties. As the material contains no
plasticizers, it also features a superior resistance
to chemicals, staining and does not react with
rubber.
The installation is performed using water-based
acrylic dispersion adhesives approved by Upofloor.
The backing of the flooring has been roughened
to maximize adhesion.
Information about installation and approved
adhesives can be found on www.upofloor.com
The flooring is easy to maintain by hand or by the
means of a machine. Contamination accumulated
during the construction phase can be easily
removed after installation and the space can be
quickly converted into productive use. Loose
contamination is removed with a vacuum cleaner,
mop or brush. A scrubber, a combination machine
or a floor care machine with red or corresponding
pads or medium hard brushes can be used with
mild alkaline or alkaline detergents. It is advisable
to alternate dry and damp methods in daily mainte
nance. Care products can be used periodically to
maintain the floor´s easy care properties.
For in-depth floor care instructions, please see
www.upofloor.com.
SAFE
Upofloor Zero floors do not support combustion
in fire situations and do not generate dangerous
combustion gases such as hydrogen chloride
or hydrogen cyanide.
Thanks to their slight embossing, they provide
good slip-resistance.
The material does not act as a substrate for
bacterial growth.
The floors are antistatic.

UPOFLOOR HAS
REINVENTED RESILIENT
FLOORING. SMARTER.
GREENER. TOUGHER.
Since the start in 1950’s, Upofloor has
revolutionized our view of traditional public
space flooring – focusing on creating smart
flooring materials that are environmentally
friendly, strong and easy to maintain.
Upofloor was founded in the small town of Nokia in western
Finland, one of the most entrepreneurial and innovative
centres in Europe. It was here that the Nokia Group started its
operations in the 19th century as a small paper mill, taking its
name from the city. The innovative spirit that took the Nokia
telecom brand to worldwide success has made a strong mark
on the city, and has attracted a number of innovative companies
over the decades. One of these is Upofloor, which was founded
in Nokia’s old paper mill and which was also owned by the
Nokia Group for a period of time.
Upofloor’s founding vision was to offer the Finnish market an
innovative product that was catching on around the world,
i.e. resilient vinyl flooring. Production expanded in 1960’s to
include public space resilient sheet floorings and flexible
vinyl floorings for domestic use. Meanwhile, a growing demand
from other countries resulted in continuously expanding
exports.
Today, Upofloor has successfully produced, marketed and
installed millions of square meters of floorings all around the
world.
Focus on environmentally sound floorings
Upofloor product development activities are still based in
the pioneering town of Nokia. Focus is on designing innovative
PVC-free, environmentally friendly flooring that is durable and
easy to maintain.
The first PVC-free flooring was launched in 2004. Since
then, Upofloor has become a pioneer in PVC-free floorings,
aiming to continuously expand our offering in design-driven,
technologically advanced and sustainable flooring. Upofloor
has also been a leading quartz tile manufacturer for over 60
years, providing uniquely designed flooring to many types of
commercial installations.
Part of Kährs Group
Today, Upofloor has two production facilities in Finland. The
company is a part of the Kährs Group. Established in 1857, Kährs
is the world’s oldest and leading wood flooring manufacturer
with worldwide brand recognition.
