Suellen Crowley, Lavallette Susan David and Jermaine Johnson
Suellen Crowley, Lavallette
Suellen is a New Jersey native, who always had an interest in art, historic preservation, building construction and historic
architecture. Those interests combined to create an exciting and satisfying career in art and design.
Superstorm Sandy took Suellen’s home, studio, entire body of work, supplies and years of accomplishments. However,
she saw the experience as an excellent opportunity for fresh, new work and spent much time in Key West, Florida,
growing an entirely new portfolio, and musing with wistful irony on past accomplishments.
Throughout her career Suellen has studied with Dong Kingman of New York City, Sandford Birdsey, Rick Worth, William
Welch, and currently Karen Beauprie, all of Key West. A few years ago she participated in another public art project
called “The Eagles Have Landed”, wherein fifteen artists were chosen to paint six foot tall sculptures of eagles. This
ultimately became the first permanent art installation throughout the river towns of Burlington County.
She has spent every summer vacation in Lavallette, always drawn to the magic of the Jersey Shore. Now a homeowner
in Lavallette, she is creating a series based on life at the shore. Living in Lavallette has been the most joyous stop on her
road. [email protected] www.myart4u.com
Susan David and Jermaine Johnson
Graphic Artists for Whole Foods Market Middletown
When Susan pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Art and Design, little did she know that she
would one day be following in her maternal grandfather’s sign painter footsteps. Now, in addition to
spending her days creating chalk art, printed collateral and art installations for Whole Foods Market,
Susan also designs stunning invitations and other paper goods for weddings and bridal events. In
recent months, she has expanded her skill set to include calligraphy. Susan lives in Toms River with her
fiancé, Peter, and their dog, Cricket Wilder. [email protected]
Jermaine’s career path led him to pursue a degree in Digital Art, which he has put to tremendous use
in his position at Whole Foods Market, designing promotional collateral, chalk art and three
dimensional pieces for the store. Additionally, his freelance work includes The Food Box in Long Island
City, New York, and logos for local school clubs. Jermaine lives in Red Bank with his wife, Anne, and
their two young sons, where he loves to craft art-inspired DIY projects for their home.
Susan and Jerm began their Whole Foods Market careers in Fall 2010. They both love doughnuts,

Marty Fallivene, Brick
Local artist, Marty Fallivene, has made his home at the New Jersey shore for the last 16 years. A graduate of
Monmouth University in West Long Branch, Marty now resides in Brick with his wife and two children. He
makes his living as a professional artist working in many mediums which include fine art and illustration,
graphic design, traditional sign painting and automotive pinstriping and custom painting.
"My parents used to rent a beach house on Long Beach Island every summer when my sister and I were
growing up. Ever since then I always knew I wanted to make my home here at the beach in New Jersey,”
Fallivene recalls. "I used to surf at Casino Pier during my later college years quite a bit. Creating a work of art
dedicated to the many special memories of surfing and appreciating the magic that the place provided is the
least I can do to let the public know what a great place it was." [email protected]
MaryAnn Goodwin, Neptune
MaryAnn was born in Newark, New Jersey and raised at Lake Como on the Jersey Shore. She received a BFA in
painting and graphic design from Caldwell University. She continued her education at SVA, New York City studying
illustration and children’s book design.
After graduation from college, MaryAnn was employed by the Monmouth County Park System as a graphic artist and
eventually became Supervisor of the Graphics Department for the Park System. MaryAnn recently retired to explore a
new life and new possibilities as a fine artist and return to her roots as a fine artist and painter.
MaryAnn continues to take classes and workshops in both fine and computer arts and believes education is a process
of becoming that never really ends. There is always something new to discover, a technique to learn, a process to
creating art that is unique and new. She enjoys discovering beauty in her environment and has created many
landscapes depicting New Jersey and iconic scenes of the Jersey Shore. She has also found beauty in her own
backyard painting flowers grown on her property and portraits of neighbors’ homes. Color, shadow, lighting and
reflections are some of the themes found in her painting. [email protected]
Diana Gonzalez, Stratford
Diana Gonzalez grew up in Camden County and spent her summers in Spain visiting family and art
museums. Frequently seeing the large scaled “Guernica” by Picasso planted the seed to start working on
murals. Spending all of her free time in the art room in high school, she received a scholarship to precollege classes at Moore College of Art & Design, which lead to a partial scholarship in their 2D Fine Arts
program where she received her BFA in 2005. In the same year, she completed her internship at Mural
Arts Program where she learned the process of community art and has been involved ever since.

Most recently, in 2014, she was an invited Visiting Artist for the Golden Artist Colors, Inc., New Berlin,
New York and is currently involved in the Shore to Love Mural Tour in New Jersey. Diana hopes to
continue to grow as an emerging artist as well as assisting artists on successful projects. Her passion is
making art as a team and on a large scale, which is what has made the Mural Arts Program projects her
main outlet (2005 – present). She is driven by the way a little paint can make such a huge impact, and
most importantly a positive one, on individuals and entire communities. She aspires to do this on a
national scale in the future. [email protected] www.wiheartmurals.com
