Great to see our junior and senior students represent our school with pride and passion in swimming. Congratulation to all who participated and were fortunate enough to get to the finals, given the high level of competition and quality swimming displayed that day. It was hard…. Ka mau kē te wehi. Our School – Tai Roa Tēnā koutou katoa whānau, Our overarching kaupapa is “RECYCLING FOR POSITIVE CHANGE. How waste is generated and managed in our kura and local environment?” We have been flat out busy this term learning about us...our habits...and how our habits impact upon Papatuānuku. We are informing ourselves all the time and some of the information is astounding!! Tai Roa has been learning about graphing. What is a line Plot graph, Bar graph, Histogram as well as a Tally chart. By identifying information they have found themselves changing their habits in the way that they pack their lunch so their lunch boxes are becoming litter-less. This is excellent and definitely deserves recognition. Ngā mihi tamariki mā. Tai Roa has also been busy practising their swimming techniques, skills and drills. We all participated in the Kaeo Primary swimming sports event and were very well represented by those who tried their hardest and did their event to the best of their ability, a lot of swimmer’s time was under 20 seconds for 25 meters. Well done to each and every one of you. In Tai Roa, we had Anok (Environmentalist) in talking to us about what litter goes 1 way, what is recycling, and reusable, some very useful information was learnt.
