She will be offering childrens's belly dancing classes at OMHC on Monday Evenings! Introducing Mel Fergenbaum of M/C Insights. Mel is an national instructor and has been helping people better their lives for nearly 17 years. As he says, “Your not broken, you don't need to be fixed. Students will experience dance for musical theatre, music theory, recitation, vocalization, acting and improvisation with the help of theatre games, Tuesday skits, creative movement, and more! BOTH CLASSES for only $10 enrollment/$45 per month or Thursday DROP IN for $17 Nicole Polzella, former owner of Smoky Mountain Dance Center and current director of AccessDance WNC, studied with the Centerville City Ballet and Dayton Ballet in Ohio, training in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and modern dance. Nicole earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2003 from the University of Dayton, OH in Dance and Theatre Performance. After leaving college, she went on to perform with professional theatre companies throughout the Midwest. Friday Baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate studies include stage performance, dance for musical theatre, theatre history, theory and criticism, the Alexander and Laban Techniques, and continuing ballet and modern dance training. Polzella enjoys working with senior citizens and in 2009, produced an instructional DVD titled Chair Yoga with Nicole, a specialized yoga class geared toward senior students with limited mobility. Currently, Polzella leads workshops and classes in WNC nursing homes and senior residential facilities for Alzeimer's patients, senior residents, and facility Saturday staff members. Ms. Polzella is committed to making movement and exercise accessible to Western North Carolina communities in need.
