P O R T A G E s to n e ™ Pattern Installation Portage Stone allows for fluid installation due to its ease of placement. Each unit can be turned in any direction to allow a random look. To cut a slab in two, use a cold chisel (striking along the center line towards the outside on both sides of the slab), or a wet dry diamond saw. Recommended Tools & Materials: • R ecommended safety gear (steel-toed boots, gloves & eye protection) • Hard toothed rake • 1" screed rails • 4' hand level or transit level • String line and stakes • Hammer • Chalk line B a s ic i n s ta l l atio n Refer to the installation guide for a description of how to prepare the foundation beforehand. Add more sets of 3 slabs to fill in the surface to be covered. Complete the balance of the surface to be covered with single slabs for the final result. Continue by fitting more sets of 3 slabs (cloverleafs) against the others. The cutting will be done when the entire surface has been covered. Step 3 Keep the cut-off pieces of slab to fill in the empty spaces. For some lengths and widths, the loss can be limited. PORT01-A
