WORKS. It marks the tenth
anniversary of Victory House.
Below is the welcome address by
Pastor Leke Sanusi at the
Thanksgiving Service.
W
e give the Almighty God
the glory for bringing a
wonderful day like this to
pass. It is with exceeding great joy in
my heart that I welcome you on behalf
of Victory House, London to this
memorable occasion of the Tenth Year
Anniversary Thanksgiving Service and
the dedication of the new Victory
House Sanctuary by our beloved
Father in the Lord, Pastor E.A.
Adeboye, the General Overseer of the
Redeemed Christian Church of God..
We are so glad because this day was
not meant to be when you consider the
battles we fought in the course of the
last ten years and the building of this
sanctuary. We are therefore here
today, Sunday the 15th day of April
2007 to celebrate victory. That this
anniversary and Sanctuary dedication
is taking place in the seventh year of
this millennium is significant in many
respects. Figure seven represents
perfection, completion, rest, release,
restoration and breakthrough without
struggle.
We thank the Almighty God for giving
us the victory and Jehovah El-Shaddai
for His wonderful provision of
resources. Anyone who saw what this

place looked like ten weeks ago would
readily agree that only the Miracle
Worker and Wonder working God
could have done this! This indeed is the
Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our
eyes!
We welcome our beloved Daddy, the
General Overseer of the Redeemed
Christian Church of God and our
Mother in Israel, Pastor and Pastor
(Mrs) E.O Adeboye for squeezing out
time from their very busy schedule to
come and dedicate the Sanctuary and
bless us. We truly appreciate your
prayers.
We must welcome our beloved servant
of God, mentor and guardian whom
God used ten years ago to birth the
vision of Victory House, London and
commission the present Parish Pastor
and his wife to start the work. This
servant of God is Pastor Brown Oyitso,
Provincial Pastor, Headquarter State
3, Festac, Lagos, Nigeria. We give
glory to God that the little seed God
used him to plant ten years ago has
grown and given birth to nine parishes
in U.K and abroad. The tenth baby is
due for delivery next Sunday by the
special grace of God.

helping you to run with the vision of the
Redeemed Christian Church of God
over the last ten years. We know the
journey has not been without some
challenges, but we thank our great God
for helping you to overcome all the
challenges in the past years and
especially during the period of
constructing this place of worship.
God has planted you here for a
purpose. You are therefore to affect
this community for God through your
worship, your prayer, your drive for
evangelism, your preaching, loving
your neighbours and your holy living.
As the salt of the earth, it is God’s plan
to continue to use you to add taste to

As this Sanctuary is being dedicated
today, we pray that it will be a place
where the presence and the glory of
God will be fully manifest, where souls
will be saved, where the sick will be
made whole, the dead will be raised
and lives will be transformed. It will be a
place where people will worship God in
an atmosphere of love, comfort and
holiness.
We congratulate you again for your
tenth anniversary. We pray that you will
not be satisfied with where you are
today but that you will “press toward
the mark of the high calling of God in

The Principles of

T
HE BIBLE says not all those who
start a race will finish it no matter
how skilful you are.
1ST CORINTHIANS 9:24 “Know ye not
that they which run in a race run all,
but one receiveth the prize? So run,
that ye may obtain”, According to
ECCLESIASTES 9:11 “I returned, and
saw under the sun, that the race is
not to the swift, nor the battle to the
strong, neither yet bread to the wise,
nor yet riches to men of
understanding, nor yet favour to
men of skill; but time and chance
happeneth to them all”.
Why then do some people fall by the
way side? This is because it is the
major assignment of the devil to ensure
that people fall.
In this study I will identify the ways the
devil will attack, the timing of his attack,
the methods of his attack, the weapons
of his attack and what you are to do to
overcome his attack.
WAYS THE DEVIL CAN ATTACK
T
he devil can attack through your
partner either your wife or
husband.
GENESIS 16:1-3 “Now Sarai Abram's
wife bare him no children: and she
had an handmaid, an Egyptian,
whose name was Hagar. And Sarai
said unto Abram, Behold now, the
LORD hath restrained me from
bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my
maid; it may be that I may obtain
children by her. And Abram
hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar
her maid the Egyptian, after Abram
had dwelt ten years in the land of
Canaan, and gave her to her
husband Abram to be his wife”.
Sarah’s counsel was what got
Abraham in to trouble. The problems
between the Arabs & Jews, Moslems &
Christians is because of the simple
advice from Sarah. Before you take
any advice check it out on the basis of
the word of God. This is why as
ministers of God you must allow your
partner to grow because if you don’t,
peradventure you fall you will fall down
to the level of your partner which may
be very poor if they have not grown
spiritually.
Another example is that of Job in JOB
2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost
thou still retain thine integrity? curse
God, and die. If Job had yielded to the
advise of his wife that would have been
his end.
The devil can attack through trusted
friends: See the example of Jesus &
Peter in MATTHEW 16:15-17 “He saith
unto them, But whom say ye that I
am? And Simon Peter answered
and said, Thou art the Christ, the
Son of the living God. And Jesus
answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto thee, but my Father
which is in heaven”. It was obvious
from Peter’s answer that he had just
received a revelation from God.
However when we read the same
MATTHEW 16:21-23 “From that time
forth began Jesus to shew unto his
disciples, how that he must go unto
Jerusalem, and suffer many things
of the elders and chief priests and
scribes, and be killed, and be raised
again the third day. Then Peter took
him, and began to rebuke him,
saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this
shall not be unto thee. But he
turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee
behind me, Satan: thou art an
offence unto me: for thou savourest
not the things that be of God, but
those that be of men”. The Lord had
to rebuke him by saying get thee
behind me Satan because he was
going to be an obstacle to the Lord
fulfilling his destiny. We must be very
careful of prayer partners.
The devil can attack through grateful
people. Many anointed men of God
have committed adultery in this
process. 1 SAMUEL 18:5-9 “And
David went out whithersoever Saul
sent him, and behaved himself
wisely: and Saul set him over the
men of war, and he was accepted in
the sight of all the people, and also
in the sight of Saul's servants. And it
came to pass as they came, when
David was returned from the
slaughter of the Philistine, that the
women came out of all cities of
Israel, singing and dancing, to meet
king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and
with instruments of musick. And the
women answered one another as
they played, and said, Saul hath
slain his thousands, and David his
ten thousands. And Saul was very
wroth, and the saying displeased
him; and he said, They have
ascribed unto David ten thousands,
and to me they have ascribed but
thousands: and what can he have

Here the women were singing the
praises of David. From that day on
David knew no rest until Saul died.
Another example is Gideon in JUDGES
8:22-25 “Then the men of Israel said
unto Gideon, Rule thou over us,
both thou, and thy son, and thy
son's son also: for thou hast
delivered us from the hand of
Midian. And Gideon said unto them,
I will not rule over you, neither shall
my son rule over you: the LORD
shall rule over you. And Gideon said
unto them, I would desire a request
of you, that ye would give me every
man the earrings of his prey. (For
they had golden earrings, because
they were Ishmaelites.) And they
answered, We will willingly give
them. And they spread a garment,
and did cast therein every man the
earrings of his prey”.
TIME OF THE DEVILS ATTACK
atan likes to attack immediately
after a great victory for example
successful convention, conference,
great revival broken out in your church
or after he has used you to perform
great miracles. An example can be
found in JOSHUA 7:1-5. Immediately
after the fall of Jericho the devil struck
while Joshua was basking in the glory
of a glorious triumph he suffered his
most humiliating defeat. The Bible
says when you have done all stand.
After a great victory its time to fast and
pray.

in Ministry
Other examples are Samson in
JUDGES 16:1-5, Elijah, 1ST KINGS 19:12, Elisha, 2ND KINGS 2:14 -15, 23 -24
(he missed the power he had just
received or did not know the extent of
his power), Peter & John, ACTS 4:13.The brighter the light the thicker the
darkness surrounding it. As your
ministry prospers don’t forget the
forces of darkness surrounding you will
be greater.
Gideon in JUDGES 8:22-23 the devil
threw a Jab at Gideon: “come and be
our king”, he said no, VERSE 24 -25
“but bring me some gold and I will
make an ephod for God” (the hook)
VERSE 27 “And Gideon made an
ephod thereof, and put it in his city,
even in Ophrah: and all Israel went
thither a whoring after it: which
thing became a snare unto Gideon,
and to his house” (this was the knock
out punch)
METHOD OF ATTACK
Samson, JUDGES 16:6-14 the Jabs,
16 final Jab “And it came to
pass, when she pressed him daily
with her words, and urged him, so
that his soul was vexed unto death;”
VERSE 17-21 hook to the stomach and
VERSE 28-30 knock out punch. It was
really a boxing tournament. The devil
did not hide his intentions; I want to
knock you out. Be very wary of talking
too much.
VERSE
T
he devil is a boxer as a matter of
fact he is a world champion. Like a
professional boxer will bring down his
opponent with three methods namely
the Jab (thrown towards the head of
the opponent, if you hit the stomach of
the opponent the head comes towards
you), the Hook (towards the solar
plexus) and finally the Knockout (a little
terrible blow below the chin) the devil
follows the same pattern almost nonstop.
Examples: Elijah in 1ST KINGS 19:3-4
the Jab was the disappointment he
received when Jezebel sent news that
she would end his life in 24 hours. He
had just won a great victory but did not
destroy the chief priestess of Baal. He
began to run and fear gripped his heart
and he began to doubt if God was
worth serving, that was the hook. The
knock out punch can be found in verse
4 now, ‘O LORD, take away my life;
for I am not better than my fathers’.
Disappointment may come from any
angle in the days ahead there are
bound to be disappointments but look
unto Jesus the author and finisher of
our faith.
The devil is very persistent, he knows
persistence wears a man down LUKE
18:1-5 “And he spake a parable unto
them to this end, that men ought
always to pray, and not to faint;
Saying, There was in a city a judge,
which feared not God, neither
regarded man: And there was a
widow in that city; and she came
unto him, saying, Avenge me of
mine adversary. And he would not
for a while: but afterward he said
within himself, Though I fear not
God, nor regard man; Yet because
this widow troubleth me, I will
avenge her, lest by her continual
coming she weary me”.

Prayer wears the devil out 1ST
THESSALONIANS 5:17
WEAPONS OF ATTACK
The devil’s major weapon is
PROVERBS 13:12
“Hope deferred maketh the heart
sick: but when the desire cometh, it
is a tree of life”. Sometimes when you
are hoping for something and it does
not come you might become
discouraged. When this happens if you
are not careful the devil is already
waiting. When does he bring this
weapon? Most often when you are
tired 1ST KINGS 19:4 “But he himself
went a day's journey into the
wilderness, and came and sat down
under a juniper tree: and he
requested for himself that he might
die; and said, It is enough; now, O
LORD, take away my life; for I am not
better than my fathers”.
DISCOURAGEMENT.
Brethren we must learn to rest. Resting
means change what you have been
doing for long. If you have been
working for a long time a holiday may
be a form of rest. If you have been lazy
begin to work, if you are a workaholic
learn to rest. Learn to say no to people
who say they want to see you. If you
don’t rest the devil will come in and you
will be destroyed. When you are tired,
your defenses are down.
When nearest to your goal the devil
brings discouragement because you
cannot see tomorrow; Jesus in LUKE
22:41-44; Children of Israel in
NUMBERS 13: 31-41.
YOUR OWN HIDDEN FAULTS. Individual
weakness unknown to many people.
Many of us are fighting the devil and
demons, the weapons of our warfare
are not carnal but mighty through God
to the pulling down of strongholds. The
stronghold is your weakness, the devil
capitalises on your weakness. The
elders have a saying if the death on the
inside does not kill you the one on the
outside cannot. The joker card in the
hands of the devil is your weakness.
Example: Moses had only one
weakness: sudden anger or temper,

the devil discovered this the day Moses
killed an Egyptian, he left Moses alone
for a long time but struck as the
children of Israel were about to enter
the promised land he brought out his
joker card.
Peter, whether you agree or not he was
a bit of a coward. The devil discovered
this the day he wanted to walk on
water. His hidden fault however
manifested in MATTHEW 26:69-75
“Now Peter sat without in the
palace: and a damsel came unto
him, saying, Thou also wast with
Jesus of Galilee. But he denied
before them all, saying, I know not
what thou sayest. And when he was
gone out into the porch, another
maid saw him, and said unto them
that were there, This fellow was also
with Jesus of Nazareth. And again
he denied with an oath, I do not
know the man. And after a while
came unto him they that stood by,
and said to Peter, Surely thou also
art one of them; for thy speech
betrayeth thee. Then began he to
curse and to swear, saying, I know
not the man. And immediately the
cock crew. And Peter remembered
the word of Jesus, which said unto
him, Before the cock crow, thou
shalt deny me thrice. And he went
out, and wept bitterly”.
sure you are sanctified, steps to being
born again are salvation, sanctification
and then baptism in the Holy Spirit.(
don’t jump the gun do it one after the
other). There are many ways to build a
house, lay the foundation, erect some
poles and then put on the roof. This
type of house has no walls.
Sanctification is the wall of the house.
Pray without ceasing. Remember the
devil is a fallen angel, angels don’t
sleep and they are never tired. More
than anything else ask the one who
prayed for Peter to pray for you. The
Bible says it is not of him that willeth or
of him that runneth but of God that
showeth mercy. ROMANS 9:16. The
Bible also says in Psalm 127:1
“Except the Lord builds a home they
labour in vain that build it”.
PRAYER
Father just as you prayed for Peter
pray for me, I want to reach my goal, I
don't want the devil to knock me down
help me; pray for me. Father please
pray for me, give me the grace to live a
life of holiness & purity so there will be
no crack in my amour and the lizard will
not be able to enter in. Father pray for
me, be my strength, be my shield and
my buckler, be my protector in the
name of Jesus
It was a good thing Jesus had prayed
for him before hand because he most
probably would have ended up in hell
as the Bible says no liar will enter the
kingdom of God also Jesus said “if you
deny me before men I will deny you
before my father in heaven”.
WHAT ARE YOU TO DO?
B
e sure of your salvation (because
many of us minsters are
pretenders, many have never
answered the altar call). The bible says
in 2ND CORINTHIANS 5:17 “Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become
new”. If you are born again and you
are still doing the same things you
need to check your salvation. Make

The Prayer God Can Making the Most of Your Life

MATTHEW 15:22-28 “And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have
mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a
word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered
and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she
said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said
unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that
very hour.”

rom the study of the encounter of
the Canaanite woman with the
Lord Jesus Christ, we learn that
there are some attitudes in prayer that
not only make prayer powerful and
effective, but also make it impossible
for God to ignore. What are those
attitudes?
A CRY UNTO JESUS
“And behold a woman of Canaan
came....and cried unto Him...” It is a
legitimate thing to cry unto God in
prayer. Some people are too
psychedelic in prayer. Someone once
said that revival is delayed because
there are no more ‘Mr wet eyes’. That
is, those who will cry unto God. You
may say God is not deaf, why should I
cry unto Him in prayer. But we see from
scriptures that He hears the cry of His
children.
In EXODUS 3:9, God said the cry of the
children of Israel has come unto Him
and that by reason of their cry; he has
come to deliver them out of the hand of
their Egyptian oppressors. PSALM 34:6
tell us that “this poor man cried, and
the Lord heard him and saved him
out of all his troubles.” In 1ST
SAMUEL 7:8 when the children of Israel
told Samuel not to cease to cry to God
on their behalf as they faced the
Philistines in battle, Samuel cried to the
Lord and the Lord sent thunder from

heaven and smote their enemies. May
your cry to God provoke His thunder
and scatter your problems in Jesus'
name.
Remember Blind Bartimaeus in MARK
10:46-50, the Bible says though some
chastised him for crying unto Jesus for
healing, he ignored their chastisement
and cried the more. That prompted
Jesus to stand still and give him his
miracle. As you get angry with your
situation and cry uncontrollably to God,
may heaven stand still for you in Jesus
name.
A sister in our church and her husband
have been battling with barrenness
(inability to have children) for over ten
years. One day in 2006, we had just
finished the early Morning Prayer
meeting. Everyone had left the church
auditorium but she refused to go. She
went to a corner of the church and
began to cry to the Lord. I was almost
switching off the lights when I heard the
silent but passionate sob of this
woman. Then I heard the Lord telling
me to go and agree with her. I obeyed
and interrupted her prayer. I told her
what God has just asked me to do. Like
Eli and Hannah, I informed her that the
Lord has heard her cry and the God of
Israel would grant her petition. Less
than two months later, she got
pregnant. Despite all the fears that
medical doctors raised against that
pregnancy, she delivered a baby girl
safely recently. Praise God!
“In my distress I called upon the
Lord and cried unto my God: he
heard my voice out of his temple
and my cry came before him, even
into his ears.” PSALM 18:6.
“When I cry unto thee, then shall
mine enemies turn back: this I know,
for God is for me.” PSALM 56:9.
God is waiting for you to cry unto Him.
He will hear you. He will answer you.
He will deliver you in Jesus name.
A PLEA FOR MERCY
“...Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou
Son of David..” Mercy is an attribute of
God. He cannot ignore anyone that
appeals to His well of mercy. The bible
says His mercy endures forever.
PSALM 106:1; David said great are His
mercies. 1ST CHRONICLES 12:13. God
has also given us the liberty to come to
Him boldly to seek and obtain His
mercy. HEBREWS 4:16.
When a prisoner is convicted and is
about to be sentenced, usually, his
lawyer would plead to the judge to
temper judgment with mercy and
reduce the sentence to the barest
minimum. A plea to God for mercy
achieves much more because God is
more merciful than the most merciful of
earthly judges. The mercy of God
A
re you making the most of your
life? Is your life living up to the
dream? Am I in God’s
assignment for my life?
If the answer to these questions is,
“Possibly” or “I’m not sure” – then read
on. As we seek answers to these
questions I propose to offer some
thoughts which may prompt some
encouragement.
One of the key factors to making the
most of your own life is helping others
get the most out of theirs. What we
help make happen for others – God will
surely bring to fruition in our own lives.
“After that he poureth water into a
basin, and began to wash the
disciples’ feet, and to wipe them
with the towel wherewith he was
girded.” JOHN 13:5
Here we see just prior to the Feast of
Passover (just celebrated a few days
ago) Jesus washes the feet of his
disciples and goes on in VERSES 12-15
to set an example to us to wash one
another’s feet. We demonstrate our
love for God and for others by serving
them; no matter our “so-called”
position in life/business or in the church
if we can help and contribute positively
to the lives of others we enact the
pattern Jesus demonstrated to us. 1
CORINTHIANS 9:19-22
So as we endeavour to live a fulfilled
and blessed life we must learn to find
out how to forget ourselves just long
enough to lend a helping hand to
someone else. “Let nothing be done
through selfish ambition or conceit,
but in lowliness of mind let each
esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for
his own interests, but also for the
interest of others.” PHILLIPIANS 2:3-4
Living a Blessed Life
The Beatitudes help us to discover how
to live a blessed life. MATTHEW 5:1-12
When Jesus saw his ministry drawing
huge crowds, He climbed to the
hillside. Those who apprenticed to
Him, the committed, climbed with Him.
Upon arriving at a quiet place, He sat
down and taught His climbing
companions the following are:You are blessed when you at the end of
your tether, when you are at the end of
your own fleshly exertions. When you
come to the end of yourself, the end of
your abilities God is able to step in and
take over. This is when life really
begins. (v:3)
You are blessed whey you get inside
your world – your mind and heart – put
right. When you find the peace of God
within you, you can see the vision of
God in the outside world. (v:8)
You are blessed when you can show
people how to cooperate instead of
compete or fight. That’s when you
discover who you really are and your
place in God’s family. (v:9)
Yo u a r e b l e s s e d w h e n y o u r
commitment to God provokes
persecution. The persecution drives
you even deeper into God’s Kingdom.
(v:10)
We therefore must consider measuring
our life on what God called us to do not
what others have done or what we’d
like to do. If we can discover the will of
God for our life, love, care and serve
others with the heart of Jesus we shall
surely be rewarded. Amen.

who you are is priceless and cannot be

good appetite for God. His food and
drink are the best you will ever

you care for others, you will find
yourself cared for. (v:7)

give you the victory. This is because
His steadfast love never ceases and
His mercies never come to an end.

The Canaanite woman cried to Jesus
for mercy. The cry of Blind Bartimaeus
was also for mercy. In both cases, God
answered them despite stiff opposition
from both spiritual and human forces.

WORSHIP
MATTHEW 15:22 “O Lord, thou Son of
David...” God cannot ignore the prayer
of a diligent worshipper. This woman
called Jesus, Lord, thou son of David.
This is a foundational name of Jesus.
In REVELATIONS 22:16 Jesus said He is
the root and the offspring of David.
Imagine how delighted He was that
someone made reference to this divine
lineage. In some traditions in Africa,
apart from the general name that
people are called, they also have some
special names that are only known to
their parents or those special to them.
When you call people those names,
they feel elated and eulogised. Some
wives use those names when they
want to make special requests of their
husbands and in moments like that
they can get almost anything from
them.

When you have done all you know to
do in prayer and nothing seems to be
happening, why don’t you try a plea for
mercy from the Lord. The Lord will
cause His rain of mercy to fall on you in
Jesus name.

Worshipful Prayer is to call God by His
special biblical names. When you
spend quality time doing this, God will
arise and His enemies will scatter.
MATTHEW 21:9, “And the multitudes
that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of
David: Blessed is he that cometh in
the name of the Lord; Hosanna in
the highest.”
Sometime ago someone came to me
and said she had been unemployed for
a long time. She had applied for so
many jobs, prayed and fasted with no
result. I counselled her to spend the
next seven days asking for nothing but
just worshipping God, calling Him by
His beautiful names. She obeyed.
Shortly after that, she was interviewed
for a position with British Airways. She
got the job and within a short time was
rapidly promoted.
SPECIFICITY
MATTHEW 15:22, “My daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil” God
cannot ignore and will honour specific
prayers. This woman understood the
problem of her daughter and she said it
exactly as it was. She knew her
daughter's problem was spiritual. She
was under a spiritual attack and
affliction. That made it clear that she
knew that only Jesus could rescue her.
God cannot share His glory with
anyone. Many of us are praying, but we
are still strategising on some
alternative solutions. Partial or total
unbelief are unacceptable to God. He
will not tolerate a division between two
opinions. 1ST KINGS 18:21
When you are before God, tell Him as it
is, saying, Lord the situation is this bad
and you are the only one who can help
me.
PERSISTENCE AND PERSEVERANCE
MATTHEW 15:23-25 “But he
answered her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him,
saying, Send her away; for she
crieth after us. But he answered
and said, I am not sent but unto the
lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped
him, saying, Lord, help me.”
What do you do when you feel that God
is not hearing or answering your
prayer? Do you give up or go about
moaning and murmuring that you don’t
know what to do again? When Jesus
would not answer this woman ‘a word’,
she did not walk away or give up. The
disciples even berated her and Jesus
literally said that she does not deserve
any miracle from her. If many find
themselves in similar situation today,
they would just abuse Jesus and walk
away. They would say He was proud
and wicked. They might even sue Him
to court for making innuendo at them
by referring or comparing them to a
dog. But this woman would do none of
those.
She worshipped the Lord and said
“Lord help me”. She was saying, I don’t
have anyone else to turn to. I will not let
you go until you answer me. Just like
Jacob did in GENESIS 32:26. Later,
when Jesus literally called her a dog,
her reply was even more amazing. She
said even the dogs eat the crumbs that
fell from the children’s table. That was
an irresistible perseverance and
desperation.

Some spiritual battles we will confront
in life will require a dogged
determination and powerful
perseverance to prevail and win.
Spiritual warfare is not for the chickenhearted, quick to give up Christian.
LUKE 18:1 warns us that we ought
always to pray and not to give up or be
discouraged. That is the prayer attitude
that God cannot ignore. When a man of
God was asked what the key to revival
was, he said there are five keys to
revival and they are: 'prayer, prayer,
prayer, prayer and prayer'.
It took nine years of intercessory
prayer before my father publicly
acknowledged and surrendered his life
to Jesus. What if we had given up
praying mid way or shortly before
then? He died a little over a year after
he gave his life to Jesus. Praise God
that with persevering prayer, we took
the kingdom of God for him by force.
MATTHEW 11:12.
Take note that satan will accuse you
and give several reasons why God
should not answer your prayer, but
your persistent plea of the blood of
Jesus and fervent cry for divine
intervention will make you overcome in
Jesus name.
HUMILITY
MATTHEW 15:27, And she said,
Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their
master's table . This is humility per
excellence. God will not ignore the cry
of the humble soul. In 2ND CHRONICLES
7:14, God makes humility a condition
for answered prayer.
O thou that hearest prayer,unto
thee shall all flesh come . The best of
man is flesh and before God, that is
who we are. Flesh is dust. It is that
sense of unworthiness that must lead
us to genuine confession and
repentance before God. It is our
humility that courts His mercy. GENESIS
32:10 The Jacob that deserved to die
in the hand of his vengeful brother had
the sentence reversed because of his
humility before God. I decree that
every negative sentence against you
be reversed as you humble yourself
before God.

FAITH
In VERSE 28, Jesus said O woman,
great is thy faith: be it unto thee
even as thou wilt. The Lord
commended this woman s faith and
called it great. An uncompromising
demonstration of faith and trust in God
cannot go unnoticed by the Lord.
HEBREWS 11:6 makes it clear to us that
without faith, no one can please God.
When we pray, we must pray
believingly, absolutely trusting God for
result irrespective of opposition or
delay. Ultimately, all things will work
together for good and we will see the
light at the end of the tunnel. This
woman had every reason to conclude
that all her hope for her daughter's
deliverance had been dashed due to
the resistance she faced before Jesus.
But when she will not take no for an
answer, God saluted her faith and
upheld her cause. I pray that God will
see your unshakable faith in that
request and will uphold your cause this
year in Jesus name.
That situation may look like a
mountain, but remember with faith, you
can command it to move and it will
move eventually in Jesus name. MARK
11:22-23.
Now, let us hear the conclusion of this
matter, there is an attitude in prayer
that God cannot ignore. When a child
of God cries to God, He will hear; when
you plead for mercy, He is merciful;
when you worship Him, He is pleased;
when you are specific in your request,
you cannot miss target; when you are
persistent and persevering in your
prayer; God cannot ignore that; when
you humble yourself under the mighty
hand of the Lord, He will exalt you and
when you demonstrate great faith,
every mountain will move and every
obstacle will crumble in the mighty
name of Jesus.
> Lord, as I cry to you in my distress,
hear my cry and deliver me in the
name of Jesus.
> Father, You are the only one that
can help me. Therefore, I come to
Your throne of Grace, let me obtain
mercy and find help to meet my
need in Jesus name.
> I cast out the spirit of
discouragement from my life in the
name of Jesus.
> Let every wrong foundation
speaking against my destiny be
demolished in the name of Jesus.
> Let the blood of Jesus obliterate
every wrong identity placed on me
in Jesus name.
> O Lord, reverse every ancestral
and generational curse hindering
my breakthrough in the mighty
name of Jesus.
> O thou Son of David, have mercy on
me.
> Father, I will not let you go until you
bless me in the name of Jesus!
> Every power prolonging affliction in
my life, scatter in the name of
Jesus.
> Lord, increase my faith in the name
of Jesus.
> Father, clothe me with the garment
of humility in Jesus precious name.
> This year, none of my prayers will
go unanswered in the name of
Jesus.
> I have made up my mind to stick to
Jesus. No turning back in Jesus
name.
> Thank you Father, for I am
confident that my testimonies will
abound this year in Jesus name.

he word of God says in ISAIAH
62:1-4 “For Zion's sake will I
not hold my peace, and for
Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until
the righteousness thereof go forth
as brightness, and the salvation
thereof as a lamp that burneth. And
the Gentiles shall see thy
righteousness, and all kings thy
glory: and thou shalt be called by a
new name, which the mouth of the
LORD shall name. Thou shalt also
be a crown of glory in the hand of the
LORD, and a royal diadem in the
hand of thy God. Thou shalt no
more be termed Forsaken; neither
blindfolded. The result of this will be
frustration and living below capacity.
Those who break through without
struggle are those who know their
destinies. You can never operate at
your best if you do not know your
inalienable rights in the scheme of
God. ECCLESIASTES 10:5-7. In ISAIAH
62:2, God promised to give you a new
name. Therefore if you have not been
answering to your true calling, you
should expect God to perform a
naming ceremony in your life. In ISAIAH
62:3, God says you shall be a crown of
glory.
BORN for

Desolate: but thou shalt be called
Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for
the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy
land shall be married”.
This was Prophet Isaiah's prayer for
Jerusalem. He desired to see the work
of their salvation completed. He
desired that the will of God be done in
Israel. God does not desire any less for
us. He desires the ultimate, the best
and the apex. He desires that we be the
head, not the tail. JEREMIAH 29:11.
REVELATION 5:10.
We are Israelites by adoption. Our
destiny has to do with reigning on
earth. If you are not reigning on earth
yet, it means you do not know
something. You are what you know. A
man that is ignorant of his destiny, his
inalienable right as a child of God is a
man that is walking through life

WHAT IS A CROWN?
A crown is that object worn on the
head. It is usually a sign of victory, a
sign of authority and a sign of power. It
is worn on the head as a sign of
dominion. When the king wears the
crown, his identity changes. God
desires that we should be kings.
GENESIS 1:28.

KINGSHIP AND DOMINION
Kings wear crowns. Once the crown

Kings do not do menial jobs.
The crown makes the king to cease to

he Redeemed Christian Church of God
(RCCG) Victory House London had the
vision to build a larger and befitting sanctuary in
view of the considerable increase of the
congregation and to win more souls to the
heavenly Kingdom. In order to actualise this vision the parish
pastor, Pastor Leke Sanusi constituted a Nehemiah Building
Project committee comprising of 10 people lead by Bro
Adeniyi Faboya. The committee adopted a praise worship
song titled 'He has promised he will never fail' as the
committee’s anthem. The committee was charged with the
responsibility of working out the modalities of actualising the
vision. During the committees inaugural meeting on 14
January, 2007 members agreed that the committee should
pray ceaselessly for the actualisation of the project and to
work out the modalities of sourcing funds for the completion

of Phase 1 of the Nehemiah project. Additionally, the
Committee expressed the need to inform, educate and
update the congregation about the progress of the project so
that they could be carried along. It is to the glory of God that
throughout the renovation of the project members of the
congregation were kept abreast of all happenings
appropriately.
We wish to report to the glory of God that the funding of this
project was internally sourced through the sowing of all the
members of RCCG Victory House. On behalf of the Parish
Pastor, Ministers, congregation, we wish to use this
opportunity to thank God for his faithfulness in making the
commissioning of this sanctuary a reality of our time.

people: those who are a blessing and

TESTIFYING OF GOD’S WONDERFUL WORKS
I
have two beautiful,
wonderful girls aged 21 and
19. Since my youngest
daughter reached the age of 2
years old I have desired a male
child. However, I could not get pregnant again despite all efforts
at achieving one.
Ever since Pastor Leke started 'Shiloh Hour' (a prayer
meeting for those desiring to have children of their
own), I have been attending regularly
without fail. Whenever an altar call was
made for those believing for the fruit of
the womb I always went forward.
Some people have approached me
to wonder why I kept coming out but
I insisted that the devil would not
win the battle, so I persevered in my
desire and prayer to God fora male
child.
After a while I believed God did not love
me and that I had committed a sin greater
than the sin of David. In my desperation I looked
for all means to touch the heart of God. I continued to
pester my husband to pray for me in agreement regarding this
issue of the fruit of the womb. Each time I asked he would reply
"am I the one who makes children, God will do it in His own
time". This was very frustrating for me and often I would walk
away crying, sad and depressed. I did not give up pestering my
husband about the matter and finally one day he agreed saying
he too will put it before God.
At every church service or programme it was always the first
request on my prayer list, every dancing step I did is to remind
God of my burning desire. When the breakthrough was around
the corner I felt like giving up and was contemplating
discussing with pastor about not coming to church anymore as
I could not bare the shame any longer, In my eyes I was on a dry
dessert all alone with everyone
looking at me as the woman that
God refused to answer her
prayers.
In October 20051 was not feeling
very well and thought I had a bad flu. I went to the GP who
asked me to take a urine test as he suspected pregnancy but I
refused the first time he told me to. On the 1st December I
woke up crying because for 2 months I had not
seen my menstruation and I thought I was
approaching menopause so once again
I was miserable and depressed, not
knowing that God had already done
it and I had conceived. When it was
confirmed by the Doctor I refused
to believe because I had lost all
hope. My Doctor referred me to the
hospital for a scan which revealed I
was 13 weeks pregnant, and I saw
for myself the scan of the baby and
heard the heartbeat.
Next, doctors expressed the fear that I had a
fibroid and the fibroid might not allow the pregnancy to
stand a chance. My pastor agreed with me in prayer as he
commanded the fibroid to continue to shrink whilst the baby
continued to grow. To the glory of God, I felt neither pain nor
discomfort throughout my pregnancy. I continued to attend
'Shiloh Hour" faithfully.
On 13th July 2006, my dream came TRUE as God blessed our
family with a miracle baby boy.
Indeed I can testify and I know that the Lord is the rewarder of
those who diligently; perseveringly and persistently seek Him.

Power in Holy Communion
Then I came for the Victory House Breakthrough night vigil last
month. I had faith in God that by the time I take the Holy
Communion at the Friday night service, I would be healed and
the report of doctors would change. I took the Holy Communion
and prayed to God for healing.
Then came the annual 21 days of prayer and fasting
programme of Victory House tagged “Daniel's Fast for
Breakthrough”. I fasted and prayed aggressively, participating
in all the 21 days of corporate prayer meetings at Victory
House. Amongst my cry to the Lord was that He should restore
our family's inheritance.
thank God for the Communion table, the blood of Jesus and
the flesh of the Lamb of God. For two months my menstrual
cycle ceased and doctors said my body went into a state of
'shock'. I began to have a strange feeling that I have gone into
menopause, but I kept rejecting the suggestion.
I was booked in to see my doctor again on Tuesday, but to the
glory of God by Monday, three days after I took the Holy
Communion and prayed, my menstrual cycle had returned to
normal.
Praise God.

ollowing the death of my father, all his possessions (his
children's inheritance) were taken away from my mother
by his relatives. My mother and siblings were left in abject
penury. The opposition was fierce, tense and seemingly
insurmountable.
Barely one month after the programme, I received a telephone
call from my mother. She said my father's relatives have been
coming to her to apologise and plead for forgiveness for sitting
on our inheritance. She added that at the time she was
speaking to me, everything taken from the family following my
father's death several years ago has been fully restored to her.
Indeed, God gave us victory as we pursued, overtook and
recovered all. Praise God!

Remember Nebuchadnezar - he went
mad, because he attributed his

8:17 - We should not say our own
strength has gotten us this wealth.
Someone might say, but I don’t really
have much, so the little I have I must
use it all for myself. That is missing the
point, it is not about how much we
have, it is about how faithful we are with
what we have. In the parable we read,
the servants were not given much, but
two of them were faithful with the little
they had, and we saw the reward, they
were made masters over 10 and 5
cities each. The Lord will test our
faithfulness with little things to know if
he can trust us with greater blessings.
LUKE 16:10 “He that is faithful in that
which is least will be faithful in that
which is much and he that is
unfaithful in that which is least will
be unfaithful in much”.
FOR THE UNFAITHFUL SERVANT
What is mine is God's and he can have
it. This is the right and proper attitude
we should have towards our
resources. If this is our attitude we can
never lack, regret and we will always
have more
He lost everything because he hid his
pound in a napkin. He gave excuses,
he refused to trade because there was
no personal profit in it for him.

honour, gifts, talents, abilities and
everything we have, come from you
alone....... but who are we that we
should be permitted to give you
anything, because everything we
have has come from you and we
only give what is yours already”.
PSALM 24:1-2 “The earth belongs to
God, everything in all the world is
his”.
Therefore we have no right to cling to
resources, because if we do , we will
use it to fulfil our selfish desires and we
will still not be satisfied, but if we
release it for the work of the master, he
will increase us and satisfy our desires
and we will never lack.

one will take what has been committed

For some of us we are laying our pound
in a napkin without knowing it.
If we have not been investing what God
has given us into the kingdom
business, then we have been laying it
in a napkin like the foolish servant
If what you have, you consume for
yourself and can’t be bothered with the
masters business, you are not
occupying, you are laying your pound
in a napkin--there is no reward there.
If all we do when we come to church is
just to keep asking for things from God
and there is nothing we are doing to
help increase the kingdom of God, then
we are laying our talent in a napkin
When we give excuses for not using
our resources for the Master’s
business, then we have laid our pound
in the napkin.

The servants were given only one

return, again it is not about how much

n LUKE 19:11-27, Jesus Christ
spoke a parable. This parable is
called the parable of the pounds. It
is about a certain noble man who went
on a journey to a far away country, but
before going he gave ten of his
servants a pound each and said
‘occupy till I come’, that is, ‘put it to
business before I come’ When he
came back, he called his servants and
asked them what they had done with
the money so that he might know how
JOHN 14:2-3 “In my fathers house
are many mansions, if it were not so
I would have told you. I go to prepare
a place for you and if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come
again and receive you unto myself,
that where I am , there you may be
also”.
JOHN 14:28 “I go away and come
again unto you”.
In this parable we notice that the
captive and gave gifts unto all men”.
These gifts can also be called "abilities
and opportunities". In short, we are
saying that the Lord has given each of
us abilities or opportunities and He is
saying occupy till i come. i.e use the
abilities and opportunities I have given
you to do kingdom business till I come.
The question is how are we using what
God has given us to do business for
him.

parables, He was not just speaking to

till I come. Will the Lord find us doing
business? Not our own selfish
business for our own consumption, but
kingdom business, business that has
relevance to the kingdom of God. If
what we do has no relevance to the
kingdom of God then we are not
occupying for the Lord

I come”. Jesus has also given each of
us gifts. EPHESIANS 4:8 “when he

opportunity that I have given you, use it
to do business for me till I come.
Because at the end of the day , these
talents, gifts, pounds, abilities,
opportunities or whatever name we
want to call them are actually
supposed to be used for the Master’s
honour and glory.

e were joined in Holy
Matrimony in November 1996
in Nigeria. We joined RCCG
Victory House Parish, London in
January 2004. We regularly attend
Shiloh Hour, a monthly prayer and
fasting meeting for those trusting God for
babies of their own and the pregnant
ones.
Daddy G.O. (Pastor E.A. Adeboye)
spoke to me (husband) on phone and
prayed for us in November 2004 and told
me we shall have our baby a year to that
time. We believed. By February 2005,
we visited Mothercare Store to buy baby
materials in preparation towards our
expected baby.
I (wife) waited behind after an Early
Morning Glow (a daily Morning Prayer
meeting: Monday Friday 5.30am7.00am at my church, RCCG Victory
House, London) to cry unto the Lord for
conception shortly before June. Pastor
Leke noted my presence, prayed and
anointed me with oil and told me “It is
done”. We believed.
By June I was pregnant. Thereafter, a
planned Caesarean Section (Because
one of the fibroids I had was blocking the
passage through which the baby will be
delivered which our Pastors constantly
prayed against during the pregnancy
period) for 23-02-07 was postponed till
26-02-07 because the Consultant was
absent and there was a risk of heavy
bleeding which might result in the
removal of the uterus.
On 25-02-07, Pastor Leke and Reverend
Oyor prayed, rebuked the fibroids and
bleeding and anointed us with oil and
told us “It is well”. We believed. On
Monday 26, I (wife) experienced a
successful, bleeding and pain free
operation. All the fears of the doctors that
my womb might be removed never came
to pass.
Today, the baby is waxing strong in the
Lord. Glory is to God.

give this testimony to the glory of God. I also

building for the Lord. God has given

from the written testimony of a brother, sent
to Pastor Leke.
I
bless the Lord for your life. My encounter with
you has brought about a great change to my
prayer life since Sept. 2005 at Letter Kenny in
Ireland.
Firstly, the 21days prayer and fasting book gave
me victory over an exam that I have attempted
and failed eight (8) times. I passed the exam
observing those prayers with fasting. It
happened that in the course of the fasting and
prayer, I saw an angel in my dream as I was
sitting in the exam room. He said to me to begin
to copy what he was writing. I did so and at the
end, he exchanged what I have copied with his
own and asked me to submit it. I did in the dream
and woke up. I later enrolled for the examination
and to the glory of God, I passed it with flying
colours.
Secondly, the last stage of the exam was in
March this year. I had a similar angelic
intervention in a dream. I sat for the exam and
also passed it.
Now, I am qualified to practice as a medical
doctor in Ireland now. I give all glory to God.
