This addendum forms part of the contract documents and is to be read, interpreted, and coordinated with all other parts. The cost of all contained herein is to be included in the contract sum. The following revisions supersede the information contained in the original drawings and specifications issued for the above-named project to the extent referenced and shall become part thereof. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number and date on the Tender Form. Failure to do so may subject the bidder to disqualification. 1.0 Reference: Form of Tender 1.1 See attached “Revised” Form of Tender must be used to submit bids. Failure to use this “Revised” Form of Tender will result in an informal bid which will be rejected. 2.0 Clarification – Addendum #3 2.1 Addendum No.3 (Final) and Addendum 3 (Drawings to Scale) contain the same information, only change is that the drawings to scale. 3.0 Reference: Specification Section 0100 05 – General Instructions & Addendum #3 3.1 General Contractor to carry Erie Structures for the value of $393,000.00 in their tender price. 4.0 Reference: Section 09 96 59 High Build Glazed Coatings 4.1 Delete item 2.1.3 – Glazed Coating in all areas. 4.2 Add Item 2.1.3 Exterior Application-New Block: 1 coat Epoxal WB Blockfiller, 2 coats Liquidstone 20 by Niagara Protective Coatings 5.0 Clarification – Division 8 5.1 Doors within the greenhouse to be supplied by Greenhouse Vendor. Doors located at existing block wall/fire wall new mechanical room to be done under Division 8. 6.0 Clarification – Division 9 6.1 No finish schedule included, reference architectural drawings for finishes. 7.0 Reference Drawing A2.0 – Proposed Floor Plan 7.1 New Staircase +/- 14 risers, contractor to site verify, no paint required. 7.2 No glazing required in new hollow metal doors. Liquistone 50 shall be applied on exterior face of new block walls, see specification. High build glazed coatings required only at exposed areas of brick and block. Not needed within firewall cavity. Horticultural Lab - No new flooring planned, exposed concrete floor to match existing. The following are responses to questions from Serianni Construction issued February 8, 2016. Note that drawings and specifications will not be reissued. The questions and responses are to clarify scope of work delineation and to identify coordination scope of work required. All work indicated on the drawings and specifications must be completed to achieve fully completed operating systems. # Question/response 1 Question: Indicates installation of in-floor heating system, will Erie Structures be supplying the system? Are they including the manifold and protective cabinet? Mechanical addendum #11.3 indicates that the radiant floor system is by the mechanical contractor, please resolve this contradiction. Response - Delete the scope of supply and installation of the in-floor radiant tubing system from Div. 15. - Supply and installation of the in-floor radiant tubing in the greenhouse vendor scope including extending capped tubing loops 3-4’ above floor slab for connection by Div. 15 to manifolds provided by Div. 15. The Greenhouse vendor will include in-slab tubing supports and include pressure verification and monitoring during the pouring of the greenhouse concrete floor slab. 2 Question: Indicates hanging/mounting of hot water unit heaters, will Erie Structures be supplying these heaters? Mechanical addendum #11.3 indicates that the unit heaters are by the mechanical contractor, please resolve this contradiction. Mechanical addendum #11.3 indicates that the boilers are by the mechanical contractor, please resolve this contradiction. Response - Delete the scope of supply of the two (2) heating boilers from Div. 15. - Div 15 scope includes the installation of the two (2) heating boilers - The Greenhouse vendor supplies the two (2) heating boilers including specified control panel. - Include the testing, startup/commissioning/training of heating boilers in the greenhouse vendor scope. Question: Indicates that the environmental control system will be moved and remounted, however, they have not included line and low voltage wiring. Is the electrical or mechanical contractor responsible for any wiring related to this system? Response - Wiring of control system (Argus) within the greenhouse is included in the greenhouse vendor’s scope of work, including the wiring and placement of the inslab temperature sensor. - Div. 15 control contractor scope of work is within the shop area including interface wiring with the Argus panel, and coordination of interface wiring between the boiler control system and Argus system.. Question: Who is responsible for the gutter and rain water leader? Response - Provision for gutter and rain water leader to ground in greenhouse vender scope. - Buried storm drain to existing catch basin in parking lot and connection to vertical RWL at greenhouse provided by Div. 15 End of Addendum No. M-002-R1 15-109-140 ADD-M002-R1a.Doc Page 2 of 2
