First Baptist Church now has a Van Ministry! If you know of someone who would like a ride to church on Sunday mornings, please call the church office or call Frank Barger at 361 361-9933. I am going on vacation with my family ily and will be gone from Monday June 27th- Thursday July 7th. Therefore, there will be no Baptist Beacon on June 29th, no Sunday Bulletin for July 3rd, and no Baptist Beacon for July 6th. Shari Moyer will have all of the weekly announcements available through her slides and can be seen before church services on the big screens. I will be back in the office on Friday July 8th. We are asking all families to bring coleslaw,, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, or a dessert. There is a sign-up sign sheet on the bulletin board ard outside of Carol’s office office. Last year’s theme was “Old Timey.” This year we have a new and exciting theme of “The 50’s and 60’s” with several fun games and a activities planned, such as a mini car show and a bubblegum bubble blowing contest. Please plan on joining us for a wonderful time of food and fellowship! I want to take a minute and remind you about the Chest of Joash Offering. Not only can you make monetary contributions in the c chest hest at the front of the church, you ou can also donate items to be bid on here at the church. We have several items already available to bid on. We have 2 mink coats, a silver proof coin, a painting by Thomas Ki Kinkade, and a pair of gold earrings. earrings Please come by the office to look at these items and place bids. If you have any questions, please call Ashley in the church office at 837 837-2615. Thank you! The Blood Pressure Clinic will not be held this month, Sunday June 26th.
