Jour 2 : Lundi : Randonnée Pédestre « Voie de Bénévent- Rocamadour »
Etape 1 - Aubazine Collonges-La-Rouge – 20,4km : Jusqu’à Lanteuil, vous cheminerez en pays de Beynat, le
pays des cabas. Puis, vous traverserez le massif de grès rouge qui a donné sa couleur à Collonges, terme de l’étape.
Collonges-La-Rouge est aujourd’hui classé « Plus Beaux Villages de France ».

Jour 3 : Mardi : Rando Pédestre
Visite libre de Collonges la Rouge : ses ruelles, l’église Saint-Pierre, la halle et ses anciennes portes fortifiées. Déjeuner
libre à Collonges-La-Rouge
Etape 2 – Collonges-la-Rouge – Turenne – 8,5km
Parcours de 8,5km qui vous permet de rejoindre le siège de l’ancienne Vicomté de Turenne. Très importante, au
XVe siècle, celle-ci comptait 100000 habitants répartis dans 111 paroisses, 1200 villages et nombreuses abbayes.

Jour 4 : Mercredi : Rando Pédestre
Etape 3 – Turenne – Martel – 18,4km
Après avoir admiré Turenne, perché sur sa butte, vous arriverez sur le causse pour retrouver le GR46. Vous découvrirez
le village de l’Hôpital Saint Jean où furent construits un hospice et une chapelle par les vicomtes de Turenne pour
accueillir les pèlerins. Pour vous rendre à Martel, « ville aux sept tours », vous marcherez sur le chemin Roumieu.

Jour 5 : Jeudi : Circuit Découverte en Canoë sur la rivière Dordogne
Transfert Martel – Base de canoë Gluges - Location Canoë
Dans votre embarcation, admirez la faune et la flore de la Dordogne, ses falaises et ses trésors d’architecture :
château de Belcastel, château de la Treyne jusqu’à Souillac

Jour 6 : Vendredi – Cyclo
Départ à 9h00 : Aménagée sur l’emprise d’une ancienne voie ferrée, cette jolie Voie Verte vous conduira de
Cazoulès, situé à 3km de Souillac, jusqu’à Sarlat, avec un détour à Groléjac. Le parcours, assez ombragé, permet
de découvrir la vallée de la Dordogne, de jolis villages, et un magnifique viaduc sur la rivière. Ne partez pas sans
découvrir la cité médiévale de Sarlat.

Day 1 : Arrive Sunday (16.05) - Transfer Airport - Aubazine (40 kms)
17.30 : Visit Aubazine, a 12th C. Cistercian Abbey with rich furnishings, explore the village and the monks’ canal :
an exceptional piece of 12th C. civil engineering 1.5 kms long, and partly hewn out of the rock, partly built out from
the cliff on a retaining wall by the Cistercian monks from the Abbey.

Day 3 : Tuesday : Hike
Unaccompanied visit of Collonges la Rouge : the lanes, Saint Pierre Church, the market hall and the old fortified gates.
Lunch in Collonges la Rouge (not included).
Stage 2 - Collonges la Rouge to Turenne, 8.5 kms
This 8.5 kms walk brings you to the seat of the former Viscounty of Turenne. In the 15th C., the Viscounty was very
important, with 100 000 inhabitants, spread over 111 parishes and 1200 villages, and numerous abbeys.

Day 4 : Wednesday : Hike
Stage 3 - Turenne to Martel, 18.4 kms.
Having admired Turenne perched on its hilltop, you climb to the «causse» (limestone plateau) to pick up the GR46.
You will see the village of l’Hôpital Saint Jean, where a hospice and chapel were built by the Viscounts of Turenne for
the convenience of pilgrims. To get to Martel, the «town with seven towers», you follow the «Chemin Roumieu» (the

Day 5 : Thursday : Canoe trip on the river Dordogne
Transfer Martel - Gluges Canoe Hire Centre
From your boat, admire the flora and fauna of the Dordogne, its cliffs and architectural gems : the châteaux of
Belcastel and La Treyne, as you float down to Souillac.
Dinner and overnight in a 3 star hotel-restaurant
Day 6 : Friday : Cycling
Departure 9.00 : Follow the attractive «Voie Verte» cycle route which was once a railway line, and which will
bring you from Cazoulès, 3 kms out of Souillac, to Sarlat, with a detour to Groléjac. This quite well shaded route
will reveal to you the pretty villages of the Dordogne Valley and a magnificent viaduct over the river. Exploring the
mediaeval town of Sarlat is a must.

Day 2 : Monday : Follow the «Bénévent to Rocamadour pilgrim road»
Stage 1 - Aubazine to Collonges la Rouge, 20.4 kms. You walk through the Beynat area, known for its characteristic
rye straw baskets, as far as Lanteuil. You then cross the red sandstone massif which gave Collonges la Rouge its
distinctive colour. Collonges, the end of this stage, belongs to the «Most Beautiful Villages in France» group.
