• are part of a tradable permit scheme. They
provide a way to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions by giving them a monetary
value. A credit gives the owner the right to
emit one tonne of carbon dioxide. Carbon
credits held in offshore funds, primarily
hedge funds, will now be treated as
exempt from tax on profits in the same
way as equities or bonds (epa, UK)

nominations from
World Travel Awards
African Safari Club recently received two nominations for the prestigious
World Travel Awards.

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 25, 2009 – African Safari Club recently received
nominations for the prestigious World Travel Awards.
The tour operator was nominated for the World’s Leading Cruise Travel Agent
, as well as being nominated in
category of Africa’s Leading Cruise Line, for their popular cruise services along the River Nile.
Although African Safari Club ultimately lost out in the grand final, held at the Marriot hotel
London’s Mayfair earlier this month, the nominations themselves prove that the tour operator
continues to go from strength to strength, and is building up a sterling reputation
amongst their peers within the travel industry.
The 16th World Travel Awards is the biggest award ceremony of its kind, and is voted for by travel agents worldwide.
The awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry
