BE A SAFARI CAPTAIN FOR THE HOOT & HOWL!
What is a Safari Captain? It’s like a table sponsor, but there is no sit-down portion
to this lively, playground-chic unique after-hours benefit. Gather up 8 people for your
Safari group and have a great time at this benefit for Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.
2 WAYS TO BE A SAFARI CAPTAIN
1. BUSINESS SAFARI CAPTAINS
Purchase a block of eight tickets (a
Safari group) for your employees for
$1,400. The Hoot & Howl is a great
way to team build without the hassle
and expense of planning, prep and
rentals. Purchase your Safari online
(www.hhpz.org), or send in the Safari
Captain form and we can invoice your
billing department. Your company
name will be listed on our website
and on site signage at the Hoot &
Howl as a Safari Captain. For logo
placement, please consider becoming
a Hoot & Howl sponsor, which comes
with a full Safari of tickets and other
benefits starting at $3,000.
2. HAPPY HOLLOW FAN SAFARI CAPTAINS
Gather your friends, neighbors, book
club, coworkers or family members
over 21 years of age for a fun night
out! Happy Hollow is about nourishing
childish behavior, so bring out your
best pals and be a kid again. You will
be honored as a Safari Captain on the
web and on site signage. Payment can
be made individually by attendees
and a lump sum is not required.
Purchase your ticket online and claim
your Safari Captain status, or send in
the Safari Captain form to let us know
that you are gathering a group.
How do I get a group together?
Individual Safari Captains – Start assembling your Safari by
purchasing one or more of your Safari’s tickets online at the
Happy Hollow website as early as May 30th. During the purchasing
process you will be given the option to claim your Safari Captain
status! Once your own purchase is complete, you will be sent a
special custom email link by our Commodore of Captains that you
can send to the rest of your potential Safari guests. They will use
that link to add themselves directly to YOUR Safari. A full Safari is
8 guests, but there is no limit to the number of people who can
join your Safari!
Purchase a Full Safari – Great for small businesses and special
celebrations! Purchasing 8 or more individual tickets at a time,
automatically qualifies you as a Safari Captain. Purchase your
tickets online at the Happy Hollow website as early as May 30th.
Once you’ve claimed your Safari Captain status the foundation
office will contact you about how you would like your name or
business credited in promotional materials.
The Commodore of Captains will be updating all Safari Captains
periodically with helpful information to maximize your Hoot and
Howl experience. All Safari Guests will have tickets issued to
them in advance. All ticket holders will be able to go directly to
the gate and have their tickets scanned for entry. Safari
Captains will want to stop by the check in table to pick up their
Pith helmets and other thank you perks. Should you have any

Do we have to stay together all night?
The Hoot & Howl is a very different type of fundraiser with no
sit-down portion to the evening. Guests are free to try whatever
they want, at their own pace.
Is there a benefit to committing to be a Safari Captain?
You bet! Your name will be listed on our very popular website
and on signage at the event. Your leadership tells everyone that
you believe in the importance of Happy Hollow. You are helping
conservation, arts, education and the important role that
fantasy plays in nourishing childish behavior. Safari Captains
receive 4 complimentary park passes to use on a future visit,
and a pith helmet at the party to let everyone know you're a VIP
at Happy Hollow!
