Dream HOUSES It’s all in the Details MARCO | 26 C Coast to Coast Custom Homes’ mantra is “top construction with attention to detail and quality.” This is supremely evident in the construction and design of this lovely Island home, built with every unique and special detail prominent at every turn. From the 21-foot high coffered ceilings in the great room, arched, built in art shelves and custom cabinets, to the motorized elevator to raise and lower the television, this more than 4,500 square foot masterpiece boasts everything from a second level complete with three guest suites—one perfect as a nanny’s suite with a private sitting area--to a grand master suite with fabulous views. A unique, custom designed floor inlay in the foyer points exactly North, and the home has a state-of-the-art security system, allowing the homeowners to view their yacht and home in another state via the Internet. Every window and door is framed out with wood trim, and wonderful crown molding is included throughout the house. MARCO | 27 In the formal dining room David Iatesta lighting graces the space with the majestic chandelier gracefully placed in the double tray ceiling. Beautiful columns offset the space, and the Iatesta sconces add additional warm lighting. In the master suite, the bath boasts Washington Cherry/Alder cabinetry with Bordeaux Premium granite tops. The fixtures are oil-rubbed bronze. The travertine and marble decorative tile work in the spacious walk-in shower give the appearance of natural stone. The elegant study has Portofino line custom made bookcases and a Ferguson/Copeland table, perfectly paired with a Hancock & Moore chair. The gourmet kitchen has all top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, Portofino maple cabinets with a Louis XIII panel, painted in crystal white with an attractive coffee glaze. The Island and custom corbels are constructed of honey-sable alder wood. The detailed crown rope molding, brushed nickel fixtures with matching switch plates and outlet covers add an elegant touch. Oro Napoleon Golden Crystal granite countertops with an Ogee edge treatment delightfully compliment the layout. The homeowner is an avid cook, and insisted on a custom exhaust hood system that can move 1,200 cubic feet of air per minute directly outside. An informal dining area houses an Asian-themed Henredon buffet and Tommy Bahama-style dining set. MARCO | 28 MARCO | 29 MARCO | 30 The upper level includes three guest suites, and each threshold is detailed with unique floor inlays. The baths include travertine tile floors and glass wall tile accents. There is a sitting loft and private balcony overlooking the pool area. Tumbled marble flooring is part of the spacious lanai’s charm, and the large pool with spa and fountain create a peaceful panorama. The outdoor kitchen has an eyebrow-shaped bar with seating for four, Portofino granite counters, a GE® Monogram gas grill and a ULine refrigerator with its own icemaker. Custom planters were added along the back, resting on pilings and footers for extra stability. The pool bath has a custom Kohler® basin and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, an Oro Napoleon Golden Crystal granite vanity top, Venetian plaster walls and travertine marble and polished marble mosaic boarder on the shower walls. Walter and Petra Roller have been building homes on Marco Island since 2001. Petra also contributed to the decorating scheme of this home.
