The Manoir with it's origins in the 12th, 15th & 16th centuries was virtually derelict when
bought by the current owners in 1998. Over the next four years they restored it with advice
from the "Architecte du Bâtiment de France" to create the most beautiful six-bedroom home,
even to the extent of finding some of the original features and re-purchasing them from their
"new" owners! Not content with that, they have gone even further and removed all the new
additions from the 20th century farm to re-create the gardens as they would have been
when the Manoir was a part of the feudal Château and abbey on its borders.
The Manoir has a total of 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, sitting rooms, dining room and
kitchen, along with other facilities, the house enjoys some 280m2 of accommodation in total.
These gardens, boxed and geometric, contain mystic symbols and numbers and are planted
with herbs and shrubs for kitchen and medicinal uses along with vegetables and dye-plants.
An ancient rose garden with plateau trees (crowns of thorns) leads to a bowered cloister for
either meditation or lovers trysts!
The Manoir sits amongst 2 hectares of land, meadows lie all around and currently enjoyed by
two donkeys, who are housed in the gatehouse overnight.

the making. You can buy a visitor ticket for the gardens for 5 euros but if you want to be a
part of history, viewings are only by appointment with us, the agents and tour guide!
