ABOUT T HE ARTIST
Jan van Haasteren was born in 1936 in Schiedam near Rotterdam, Holland.
In 1962 he started work doing advertising/illustration and went on to work
for Toonder Animation Studios.
Among the many figures he used to draw was Disney’s Hiawatha. After 5
years he left to become a freelance illustrator, creating a comic strip called
‘Baron van Tast’ which became fairly well known. Shortly after he received
his first poster commission from Heineken to design the interior of a pub
for their Lemon Genever.
This was the start of a long list of posters, which he does for clients all
over the world. Comic strips and posters are his favourite works.

After working in the Advertising industry for a number of years,
Joseph Burgess has dedicated his career to being an independent
illustrator. His path as a freelance artist has allowed him to work
in numerous mediums and styles. Oils, acrylics, and computer art
gives Joseph the freedom to choose the best medium for each
particular project.

ABOUT T HE ARTIST
Keith Brown was born June 11, 1952 in Burbank, California. He began
drawing at the age of five and was primarily self-taught. He worked in
pencil and pastels until he was sixteen, when he took up studying oils
under his first and only teacher, Ashton Terry Sanford.
His originals are oil on canvas and detailed pencil drawings. The focus
of his works are western landscapes and historical scenes. His paintings
depict scenes of a simpler time when the city streets were full of horse
drawn carriages and trolley cars. Keith does extensive research on his
subject matter using photos and historical references to portray his
locations, buildings, and people as realistically as possible.
Keith draws on his fascinating family history from the Red Bluff and
Yosemite areas of California, to fuel his passion for historical works.

ABOUT T HE ARTIST
The fantasy art of Anne Stokes features striking designs and life like
portrayals of fantasy subjects. Her art covers a broad range of subjects, from
the romantic and magical enchanted forest, to the dark underworld of gothic
vampires. Classic subjects are reinvented with a strong design and impact,
and new creatures are brought to life in a unique and eye catching manner.
Anne is originally from London, UK, but now lives in Leeds in the beautiful
county of Yorkshire. She started off work as a merchandise designer, then
became a full time freelance illustrator where she worked on a number of
book, game and record products. As her career progressed she moved solely
into licensing her own creations and concepting ranges of fantasy themed
paintings. Anne’s artworks have now been licensed on a wide range of
products which are on sale worldwide.

ABOUT T HE ARTIST
Working with oils on canvas, talented artist Almar Zaadstra has been
painting Australian history since 1980. His love of the traditions and
romance of pioneering Australia presents itself in the fine detail of his
art, which accurately depicts the farming practices, the costumes of
the era and the wonderful, hardworking Clydesdale horses. This detail
gives great realism and authenticity to the nostalgic images.
Almar derives much of his inspiration from the undulating countryside
around Casterton, Victoria, where he has lived since 1985.

Adelene Fletcher NDD SBA – I am primarily a flower painter, although I have painted a wide variety of other subjects. To paint flowers is such a pleasure, as
they offer such great variety, and are a constant and compelling source of inspiration. Having started life as a textile designer, I was fortunate to learn quite
early the delicate nature of the watercolour medium, and about colour in general, in all its vividness, subtlety, and clarity. I am not predominantly concerned,
as the botanical artist would be, with the scientifically accurate recording of plants, but more with the thoughts and feelings they provoke. Capturing
something of the way the flowers appear is just part of my intention, but also I love to feel free, and let my imagination play its part, experimenting as I go.
