Little did she know that years later she would revive the forgotten technique of tufting in her own smart textile designs. Anna combines exquisite wool cloth with fine yarns and printed pattern to produce irresistibly tactile fabrics for modern or traditional interiors. The collection includes sumptuous wool throws lined with printed silk, tufted and printed wool cubes, cushions and furnishing fabric featuring graphic patterns. Alongside her smart interiors range, Anna also designs large-scale architectural textiles with the aim of creating thrilling and unexpected tactile experiences in public and private interiors. Anna's 4-metre textile wall, covered entirely in tufted wool fabric in graduating grey threads, was produced to bring unexpected softness and enchantment to emotionless public and private spaces. Anna was formerly a documentary television producer for several years before deciding to serve a new apprenticeship as a textile designer. She embarked on an MA in Textile Design at Bath Spa University and graduated with distinction in 2013. Anna launched her eponymous business in the same year. In 2014 Anna was selected for the Crafts Council’s prestigious ‘Hothouse 4’ programme for emerging designer-makers. Her products were showcased at Urban Living Interiors Showroom during the 2014 London Design Festival and a selection of fabric samples were included at the Global Colour Research ‘Future Trends’ stand at MOOD Expo Brussells. At the start of 2015, Anna was nominated for the 2015 Perrier Jouet Arts Salon prize. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
